After a successful inaugural year, Nirvana will once again transform Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa into a food-filled paradise for four days this spring. World-acclaimed chefs, mixologists and California winemakers will join forces April 19 to April 22 for a must-attend lineup of tastings, themed parties, fine dining and other one-of-a-kind opportunities that will allow participants to hobnob with their culinary idols. While some of the 2017 crowd-favorite festivities will be back this year, like Flutes & Coops (formerly named Birds & Bubbles) and Best of the West, event-goers can expect a few fresh additions, as well.
Bourbon Street Blues will be held April 19 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Infinity Pool and Lawn for $150 per person. “This Nirvana kick-off event will be a grand New Orleans-style festival, complete with a dazzling array of food and drinks. Live jazz will set a Mardi Gras mood featuring the Valley’s top mixologists. Guest are encouraged to dress in their best masquerade attire.” EDIT UPDATE: Guy Fieri will join Bourbon Street Blues as a special guest!
Rosé Parté, hosted by chef Todd English, will take place on April 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for $135 per person. “A refreshing alternative for those who prefer pink to golf course green, this new-to-Nirvana event will pair fine bites with fashionable rosé against a backdrop of spectacular desert views.” EDIT UPDATE: Nikki and Brie Bella (a k a the Bella Twins) will be in attendance at Rosé Parté.
Also, on the 21st, actor Kurt Russell will bring his award-winning Gogi Wines to town for an intimate wine dinner, Master of Taste C. An all-star lineup of chefs, including Alex Stratta, Bradford Thompson and more, will prepare dishes inspired by Russell’s legendary films.
Tequila & Tortillas, hosted by chef Aarón Sánchez and mixologist Maxton Kennedy, closes Nirvana on April 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is $135 for person. “Nirvana’s Southwestern-style show-stopping farewell brunch promises tequila, tequila and more tequila. Festival-goers can shake off the sleep with palate-wakening Mexican specialties and live music to celebrate their final morning in paradise.”
Among the headliners are Sanctuary’s own Executive Chef Beau MacMillan, Todd English, Chuck Hughes, Aarón Sánchez, Stephanie Izard, Scott Conant, Jason Asher, Maxton Kennedy and many more. In addition to individual tickets, two packages and a luxury culinary getaway are also available for purchase.
Tickets are still available for Bourbon Street on Thursday night, Flutes & Coops on Friday night and Tequila & Tortillas on Sunday.
