Tamarack Resort Unveils a New Era After $200M Transformation

Tucked between Lake Cascade and West Mountain in Idaho, Tamarack Resort is entering the 2025–2026 winter season with momentum after completing a multi-year, $200 million revitalization. Ninety miles north of Boise, the resort is reintroduced to the travel landscape with upgrades across its village, mountain, lodging, dining, and guest experiences.

Tamarack is known as the only resort in the United States where guests can ski, golf, and boat all in one setting. That four-season identity is fully realized through expanded terrain, enhanced après and wellness offerings, and year-round programming designed to keep the energy flowing after the snow melts.

This winter marks the second full ski season for the 12,000-square-foot Mid-Mountain Lodge, which opened in late 2024 and has quickly become a social and culinary hub on the mountain. The lodge offers dining, events, and Veuve Clicquot après happy hours complete with sparkling cocktails and signature glassware.

Improvements include two new ski trails, an expanded Sports School, and a new wellness studio offering yoga and pilates. Tamarack’s next major milestone arrives in summer 2026 with the debut of Lake Cascade’s first full-service marina. The development will feature 100 boat slips, a waterfront boardwalk, and a public beach, anchoring the resort’s expanding lakefront lifestyle and warm-weather programming.

Residential growth is also shaping Tamarack’s future, with the introduction of Aspen Townhomes and entitlements in place for approximately 1,400 future residences. The resort is pursuing approvals for expanded ski terrain that would increase its mountain footprint in the years to come. Together, these efforts support a long-term vision focused on infrastructure, accessibility, and generational appeal.

“After six years and more than $200 million invested in this resort, the revitalization represents a pivotal new chapter in Tamarack’s evolution,” said Gabe Navarro, managing partner of MMG Equity Partners. “Our focus remains on elevating the guest experience through amenities, programming, and a commitment to our promise to be the premier four-season resort in the United States.”

Accommodations span modern, mountainside options, from village condominiums and lodge rooms at Osprey Meadows to private cottages and chalets throughout the resort. Village condominiums range from cozy studios to expansive penthouse suites, all featuring open floor plans, kitchens, and easy access to lifts, trails, the golf course, and the marina.

The Lodge at Osprey Meadows sits between the championship golf course and the Arling Center, offering alpine-style lodging with mountain, meadow, and lake views, plus amenities like an outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, sauna, and The Spa at Tamarack. For those seeking more privacy, Tamarack’s cottages, chalets, and estate homes ranging from two to five bedrooms.

Golfers will also find a standout experience at Osprey Meadows Golf Course, which reopened in July 2024 following a complete restoration by Robert Trent Jones II’s design firm and Landscapes Unlimited. Led by RTJ II architect Bruce Charlton, the redesign widened fairways, reduced forced carries, and rerouted several holes to showcase sweeping lake views and West Mountain’s natural elevation changes.

The 18-hole layout, plus the par-3 Gambler’s Hole finishing toward Lake Cascade, delivers championship play in a setting that feels both dramatic and grounded. Currently open to the public, the course offers rare access to an RTJ II design in a true mountain-lake environment. For more, visit tamarackidaho.com.
