Though in the Valley we won’t see the drastic transformation foliage in other parts of the county undergoes this time of year, we will certainly enjoy the cooler weather that comes along with autumn.

Our new favorite Valley resort, Mountain Shadows, is giving you the perfect excuse to spend the night outside, and in luxury.
This Wednesday, October 18, the resort is hosting a Rooftop Cigar Dinner, featuring hand-picked Joy de Nicaragua cigars from Drew Estate Cigars.
Following sunset, guests are in for a treat — a night of luxury and relaxation in the stunning desert eve.
Not only will there be some of the finest cigars to choose from and enjoy, there will also be a variety of Cuban-inspired dishes, as well as bourbon cocktail pairings.
The dinner begins at 6 p.m., and menu items include:

Aquacate con Camarones | avocado, shrimp, shaved red onion, watercress, grilled pineapple, fresh citrus vinaigrette
Maduros | caramelized sweet plantains, smoked sea salt
Moros Negros | slow cooked black beans, bacon, minced Spanish onion
Maize | sweet corn, chili, butter
Pernil Asado con Mojo | orange marinated bone-in pork shoulder, pulverized garlic in olive oil
Arroz con Pollo | braised chicken thighs, tomato, peas, saffron rice
DESSERT
Flan | vanilla custard, caramelized sugar
Mexican Chocolate | soft flourless cake
Dulce de Leche | sweet cream, cheesecake

Mojito | light Bacardi rum, muddled fresh mint, sugar
