Acclaimed Chef Angelo Sosa, fresh off appearances on Guy Fieri’s Tournament of Champions and Flavortown Food Fight, has unveiled new brunch and dinner menus at Tía Carmen, located at JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa.

The restaurant’s Sunday brunch, available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. through May 24, features bold Southwest flavors, live music, and interactive tableside touches, including espresso martini towers. Guests can enjoy rotating dishes like citrus-poached shrimp and crab claws, carne asada with chimichurri hollandaise, and roasted pork belly with Hatch green chile polenta.

Tía Carmen’s new dinner menu retains fan favorites such as chicken guisado while introducing inventive creations inspired by the region. Highlights include molten cornbread with Oaxacan cheese and a hint of serrano, as well as a Sonoran endive salad with charred pineapple, citrus, fennel, and mint.
The drink program has also been refreshed, featuring desert-inspired cocktails like the yuzu-bergamot Paloma, pineapple-ginger Tahona, and the Mesquite Gunslinger.

“Our menus continue to embrace the holistic and nostalgic flavors of the Southwest while offering something new for each visit,” said the Tía Carmen team.
Whether stopping by for a brunch or an elevated dinner, Tía Carmen showcases signature creativity and the tastes of the Southwest. Learn more at tiacarmendesertridge.com.
