Construction began in April 2024. When complete, the hotel will offer 168 rooms, including a mix of king and double-queen accommodations along with two-bedroom suites. Guests will have access to premium amenities such as a rooftop pool overlooking Old Town and Camelback Mountain, a 24/7 fitness center with floor-to-ceiling windows, flexible meeting and event spaces, valet service supported by a three-story underground garage, and pet-friendly rooms for those traveling with four-legged companions.

Dining and beverage options will include the AC Lounge, known for its shareable plates and handcrafted cocktails, as well as Cieleto, a rooftop bar and restaurant created in collaboration with Wayfaring Group that will feature culinary inspiration from Northwest Mexico.

“AC Hotels by Marriott are built for guests who appreciate the art of detail, where every element serves a purpose,” said Heather Mulhearn, Dual Director of Sales for AC Hotel Old Town Scottsdale. “This property embodies that philosophy, bringing a sophisticated yet approachable experience that reflects the energy and creativity of Old Town Scottsdale.”

The hotel is being developed and co-owned by PEG Companies, which will also manage the property. The project brings together architecture and interiors by Gensler and Edge ID, with Okland Construction serving as general contractor and Doug Sydnor as consulting architect. The development will also include a public art installation created with the City of Scottsdale to enhance the neighborhood’s evolving streetscape.

“Old Town is known for its balance of history and innovation,” said Joe Madera, Vice President of Hospitality at PEG Companies. “Our goal was to create a hotel that honors that duality: European precision infused with Scottsdale’s local spirit.”

As part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of lifestyle brands, the new hotel is expected to resonate with “Essentialists;” travelers who prefer intentional design and seamless experiences. Learn more at marriott.com.
