Age: I’ve lied about it so much I really don’t know!

Title: Owner/CEO of Shabby Shaque

Married/Single: Married

Kids: two sons

City you live in: San Tan Valley

A typical day in my life includes…

putting on my beautiful “covered in paint” paint clothes to paint, distress, stage and photograph all our furniture. I do the marketing and push the company, plus cooking and cleaning…a professional multi-tasker.

I was born…

in Stockton, California and grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

would have to be the gorgeous sunsets and amazing winter weather!

I’m listening to…

“Stay in your Lane”, Joyce Meyers.

My family…

makes me happy and we laugh A LOT! We try not to take everything so seriously. I love my family!

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

Chip & Joanna Gaines. I admire their down to earth ways and humor, keeping family first and staying real through their success.

One thing I cannot live without…

is communication, so definitely my phone. I do all my business marketing, staging photography and selling for the business on it plus staying in touch with friends and family!

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

a famous singer and interior designer.

I’m inspired by…

Walt Disney. I love his persistence in making his dreams turn into reality. Through his mistakes in learning the business, through all the betrayals and no’s he got from banks and lenders he never gave up. He dreamed BIG and didn’t back down no matter the negative comments. I aspire to imagine, create and pursue all my dreams with the same tenacity and determination as Walt did.

The one person who motivates me is…

my hubby, Eddie. He is always so emotionally level, encouraging, he keeps me on track when I’m all over the place with ideas and creativity. He has always helped and pushed me in the music business and now in our own business…he is my rock.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

that’s a huge question, there’s so much that needs to be changed. I think bottom line would be people having more love and tolerance for each other. I can’t change the whole world but I can change ME. I can love more, hear others opinions and have mine heard without backlash, help those in need, encourage and uplift those who need a kind word, even something as small as holding the door for someone with a smile…little changes like that in each one of us could change the entire world.

The perfect day would be…

waking up to 64 degree sweater weather, beach wave hair with no humidity, outdoor breakfast of spinach omelettes and coffee with the hubby under the pergola, a record breaking sales day, my Shabby Shaque team is whistling while happily building and painting furniture, friends and family are happy and carefree, everything goes as planned and doors of opportunities I’ve been waiting on open!

My first job was…

a travel agent. In my senior year of high school I’d go half day then I worked part-time at a travel agency.

My favorite escape…

is Disneyland, it’s my place to relax and be a kid!

My life…

is filled with joy! I’m surrounded by those I love and who love me. I’m surrounded with creativity, freedom and purpose.

I’m currently working on…

new farmhouse furniture designs for us to build and finish writing the 2 books I’m working on.

Always…

take time to enjoy the journey.

Never…

judge, you don’t know what people are going through or what they’ve been through.

Favorite Quote…

“The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing” – Walt Disney.

Biggest Dream…

Shabby Shaque signature pieces become a sought after household name. I’d like our pieces and my books in stores across the world.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

I can’t eat anything and everything I want.
