City you live in: Phoenix, specifically Downtown Phoenix

Title: Media Relations Manager

A typical day in my life includes… No two days in PR are ever alike! When I am not pitching Phoenix or chasing our next story, you can find me running or biking the streets of DTPHX with my pup. We love to be outdoors and love spending time on Roosevelt Row soaking in the art and talent from all the artists around me.

I was born… in Phoenix, AZ

My favorite thing about my city… I love how diverse Phoenix is. It is rare to find a true Phoenix native but to me that means we welcome people from all walks of life into our growing city.

I’m currently listening to… iHeart90s Radio (I am a sucker for the 90s and early 2000s music).

My family… is my life. I have an incredible Mom and a brother who is two years younger than me. My brother is one of the people I am closest to in life. We spend a lot of time together and have gone on some great sibling trips together.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… My grandpa. I’d love one more chat with him. He passed away 8 years ago while I was living in Las Vegas.

One thing I cannot live without is… my dog! Also, popcorn.

When I was younger, I wanted to be… a teacher. I really thought that was where life was going to take me and then I fell into PR and never looked back.

I’m inspired by… people. No two people have the same story. I love talking, connecting, and sharing insights. When you look around, everything that surrounds us was created by someone with an idea and that fascinates me. You never know what story you’ll be told that can change your life. Whether it is a total stranger or your best friend, your outlook on life is always able to be expanded and we all have the opportunity to learn more.

The one person who motivates me is… my fiancé. He works so hard and is very goal orientated. I always strive to match his work ethic. He really amazes me with how much he can juggle and handle all at once… and always with a great attitude and a smile on his face. I am one lucky girl to marry a man as great as him.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be… This world needs more love, in more ways than one. We need to love each other, we need to love our communities, and we need to love our planet.

The perfect day would be… take my cell phone and put me outdoors- the beach or in the woods! I love to disconnect and get away from the hustle of the city.

My first job was… a hostess at a seafood restaurant in Goodyear, AZ.

My favorite escape… We do an annual trip to Rocky Point, Mexico and that is always something I look forward to. Margaritas and the beach… there are few combinations better than that.

I’m currently working on… mastering sign language! I’ve known it most of my life but I have a goal to become as fluent as I can in the next year.

Always… be present.

Never… judge anyone. You don’t know the struggles or situations anyone else is in.

Favorite quote: “Great thoughts speak only to the thoughtful mind, but great actions speak to all mankind.” —Theodore Roosevelt

My biggest dream is… to own my own dog rescue and give more dogs the loving homes they deserve.

My pet peeve(s)… how underappreciated and misunderstood the Sonoran Desert is. I spend a lot of time educating people on how great and amazing our landscape truly is. I also am a big believer in leaving no trace when I adventure outdoors. It pains me to see our stunning destination covered in litter and traces of people not caring for it.
