A typical day in my life includes…

I wake up at 5:20 am and run or climb the Stairmaster and then go to work as a tax CPA at Edwards, Largay, Mihaylo & Co. After work I have currently been studying for my CFA exam. I am driven to make an impact in the financial world. While I am no longer working as a professional chef, I do continue to post healthy-inspired and beautiful culinary creations on my Instagram account. After earning my CFA license, I would like to publish a series of cookbooks. One goal at a time!

I was born…

in Columbus, Ohio.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

I love hiking the gorgeous mountains!

I’m listening to…

The Piano Guys.

My family…

my parents are incredible individuals who have taught me the values of working hard, loyalty, teamwork, commitment and perseverance. They are best friends and have been proud to stand beside one another for a lifetime. I admire that type of a relationship.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

Melania Trump.

One thing I cannot live without…

laughter.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

I was always “playing business” with my older brothers and cousins! “Little girls with dreams become women with vision…”

I’m inspired by…

when someone works hard and uses his or her gifts and talents to their maximum capability.

The one person who motivates me is…

my dad. He encouraged me to major in Accounting while I was in college, earn my private pilot’s license, attend culinary school at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and then encouraged me to earn my CPA license when I decided to change careers. He and my mum instilled the values of a hard work ethic, patience, the “miracle” of compound interest and the fundamental principle of trust. He motivates me to work hard and give back in the same way that he did for a lifetime. My mum has also been my perpetual cheerleader in life. They created a beautiful life together and I aspire to do the same.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

to help individuals realize that life or people should never be taken for granted. It is important to tell people that you love them, especially when they are enduring difficult challenges.

The perfect day would be…

working incredibly hard, then being able to share the labors of my efforts. To know that I can use my talents to give back to my loved ones motivates me to never give up and create a more beautiful life.

My first job was…

working as a chef at Le Meurice in Paris, France (3 Michelin-starred restaurant).

My favorite escape…

dancing! I also love to hike Piestewa Peak, South Mountain and Camelback. It is massively important to me to stay fit for a lifetime.

My life…

is filled with gratitude. I am thankful to have changed careers at this point in my life. I am thankful to know that the more successful that I become in life, the more I can share and give back.

I’m currently working on…

I just finished my CPA license; I am currently studying for my CFA license.

Always…

thankful and learning.

Never…

take for granted or underestimate the trials and failures in life… they are used to refine your character, re-visit your values, change your priorities and become a more compassionate human.

Favorite Quote…

“From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more.”

Biggest Dream…

to make the people who I love proud of who I am as a woman. I am striving to make a positive impact every single day.

My Pet Peeve(s)…
when people take advantage of others.
