Patti Hall- Streissguth: A New Desert Dweller

RE Pic smile small

Meet Patti,  new to the desert but loving every minute of what Arizona has to offer. Read how this cowgirl finished these 20 sentences.

Name: Patti Hall-Streissguth
Age: F-F-F-F-Fifty Two
Title: VP Operations, Luxury Home Sales at Premiere Luxury Realty
Married/Single: Single
Kids: 2 girls and a boy all grown up now. Time sure flies.
Live: Cowgirl goes high rise. Just moved into an urban dream near the Biltmore.

I was born…

and raised in Seattle with a six year experience living in British Columbia, Canada growing up

My favorite thing about Arizona…

it’s a perfect place to reinvent life, enjoy the change of scenery and of course, dry out these Seattle bones! Palm trees and cactus. What’s not to love? Even survived my first summer here. Rather hide from the sun than be in the damp, dark and dreary for 10 months out of the year

I’m listening to…

Templeton Thompson’s “Songs From 7 Clinics,” music inspired by our mutual friend, horseman Buck Brannaman. Templeton’s song writing is magical and delivered by an angelic voice. I can listen to her all day long

My family…

I’m so proud of my kids. My daughter, Brittany lives in LA pursuing her career in film editing. Raven is a senior at Univerity of Montana and Dustin, my 6’4″ 18 year old is a freshman there. Missoula is a great place to go visit them!

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

my Grandfather. He was the bomb. A great man

One thing I cannot live without…

a bathtub

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

in the Ice Capades. A figure skating star! That was the dream

I’m inspired by…

kind people that think of others first

The one person who motivates me is…

Sheriff Joe! LOL!!!  I should put him on my list of people I’d like to have dinner with. Love to talk to that man. Seriously, a lot of people. I am truly blessed to have incredible friends that motivate and inspire me

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

Other than the obvious “World Peace,” I wish I would have learned to live in the moment years before now. Trying to control your future too much can backfire

The perfect day would be…

I’m from Seattle, so starting off with a couple cups of strong French Roast Coffee would be a must, followed by a long ride on my horse, capped off with a dinner with close friends and family with some great red wine. And chocolate

My first job was…

Fast food. Then I was a singer in a bar before I was old enough to be in the bar. In Washington you can’t be in the bar if you’re under 21. I thought I was pretty cool being able to be in with all the patrons. What was I thinking?!

My favorite escape…

the ranch in Montana, or Lanai, Hawaii.

My life…

is truly blessed

I’m currently working on…

unpacking from my move, building my career in Arizona, painting and finding my voice to sing again. It’s been awhile and I miss it

Always…

try to be kind, patient and the best you can be

Never…

work over an open drawer. Makes a huge mess….

Favorite Quote…

“We are all worms, but I do believe that I am a glow worm.” Winston Churchill

Biggest Dream…

To have my family all home for Thanksgiving.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

What is up with Zonies? They don’t put their grocery carts back in the cart holder thingys in the parking lot. Just leave them taking up a parking space. Rude! I’m trying to set a good example by putting mine where they belong. If I can change just one life…..

  1. Patti,
Wow and I’ve known you for almost 20 years and did I learn some good stuff. And I laughed, just like you always make me do.

The photo is outstanding but what is even prettier is your terrific inside. You’ve got the pistol power with your strength too.

Now, about your voice. It’s STILL there. Can’t wait to hear you live somewhere.
