Age: 35

Title: Head of Emerging Growth at Keyser Co.

Married/Single: single

Kids: I have 5 plants which are much harder to keep alive than kids!

City you live in: Phoenix

A typical day in my life includes…

5-Minute Journal, sometimes a 10-minute meditation, a walk to LGO for a coffee, 2-4 coffee/tea/lunch meetings, work on existing transactions with my team, find ways to serve others (introductions, invites, gifts, cards, etc.), work out (Camelback Crossfit), hot/cold baths at Balunsd (cold is BRUTAL!), maybe a happy hour or a dinner and work on Hashtagnoah.com, content, Instagram, articles, etc.

I was born…

in Tucson.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

University of Arizona basketball.

I’m listening to…

as I write this, Christmas music but often books on tape or country music.

My family…

often forgets about me as I’m the middle child. My mother, Ketenna Barrasso (Tink), is literally an angel who would and has given strangers the shirt off her back (in the PG sense). My father, Robert Barrasso (Bob AKA Uncle Bob) is the backbone to our family and will always protect anyone he knows. My sister Chiara (pronounced Ki-Ara) is turning into my mother, but in all the positive ways. My brother is the one I admire the most for chasing his dreams and not settling. He’s also funnier than me if you can believe that. Braelynn has been the greatest blessing to our family as we adopted her not too long ago. However, she’s turning into a teenager! Also, I have a nephew and niece who are the greatest little humans, especially because I can spend time with them but then hand them back over to their parents when I’m done!

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

my late grandfather, who passed too early. His name was Ken Hutson (my nephew’s name) and was the greatest man I knew. Besides being able to build or fix anything, he and my grandmother Martenna (Tenna) knew how to love more than anyone I’ve ever met. I like to think I’ve made him proud and followed in his footsteps.

One thing I cannot live without…

Chapstick. It’s become a real problem as I heard the more you use it, the more you need it.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

probably Steve Kerr or a player just like him. Always wanted to play basketball for Lute Olson at the University of Arizona but later in life I realized I have a vertical jump equivalent to a turtle (damn box jumps are my nightmare).

I’m inspired by…

entrepreneurs! I love watching people sacrifice EVERYTHING, knowing their odds are highly against them. It encourages me everyday and I so badly want them to succeed that I often spend more time on them than others would like. However, it makes me happy and hopefully them as well.

The one person who motivates me is…

I would be lying if I didn’t say Gary Vaynerchuck. Kathy Sacks was able to pull some strings a few years back and get him to speak at Invest Southwest. I had no idea who he was but after he spoke, my whole outlook on how I do business, changed. Cheers to him!

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

I would want people to be much more grateful of what they have, count their blessings, and work because they love what they do, not for the money. I’m a true capitalist but believe money comes as a side benefit of doing what you love. At Keyser, we serve selflessly and find success in helping others.

The perfect day would be…

wake up to the smell of coffee and bagels followed by my parents yelling “Santa came!”. Throw on my pajamas, have a lox bagel and a mimosa, hug my family, then celebrate the day with my loved ones as we listen to Christmas music, laugh together, gift presents to one another, and smile! Basically, I LOVE Christmas (shout out to Steve Larsen).

My first job was…

a busser at Mosaic Café in Tucson. Beautiful family and restaurant, which my parents still eat at about three times a week.

My favorite escape…

over the last two years, I’ve been going down to Rocky Point with some dear friends. We’ve created some life long memories down there and we truly enjoy each other’s company.

My life…

is really becoming fun. I’m doing things I never thought I would be doing and taking chances I never thought I would take. I have an amazing support system, great team and company and I am blessed.

I’m currently working on…

I continue to do anything and everything I can to help entrepreneurs grow. I am working with many tech companies, entrepreneurs and corporate companies to lease and buy real estate. Also, I have been very focused on adding content on hashtagnoah.com which was created to help others learn something from those successful entrepreneurs before them, while hopefully being entertained. I’ve been having a blast with all those I meet/speak with!!

Always…

focus on the gifts you already have and push yourself to be great.

Never…

focus on your weaknesses or worry about what others say…ultimate freedom comes from truly letting go of what others think or have.

Favorite Quote…

Four-hundred trillion to one” – Gary Vaynerchuck, when referring to our chances of being alive. We already won the lottery of life so act like it.

Biggest Dream…

filming a Tour de Tech (my video series highlighting the interaction between company culture and their office space) at Facebook and/or filming The Martini Shot (my video series with cocktails and conversations with successful entrepreneurs) with Gary Vaynerchuck.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

three main ones:

Those who don’t wave “thank you” when you let them in front of you on the road.

People who are rude to servers.

Buying a beautiful apple, bringing it home from the market, taking a bite into it, and it’s SOFT!

More about Noah…

Noah is a commercial real estate broker who only represents the tenant. If this were a comic, think of him as the superhero who protects tenants from those landlords who may be over-eager to get the best return on their property, even at other’s expense.

His whole life, Noah was taught to serve and help others (love you Mom and Dad), regardless of personal gain. And now, he wants to highlight the success he’s had in doing so and prove to others you don’t have to be ruthless to win. Prior to joining Keyser, Noah was a founding member of the LSAG (Legal Sector Advisory Group) specialty group at the largest privately held commercial real estate firm in the world, Cushman & Wakefield. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Noah started his career at Colliers International in the research department where he developed many of the research and analytical skills he uses today.
