Margie & Rex Bahm

Name: Margie and Rex Bahm…pronounced like “bomb.” We can’t say it very loud at the airport.





Age: 55 (Margie) and 54 (Rex); our birthdays are only 1-day apart, June 3 (Rex) and June 4 (Margie). Rex is is first, so he always stealing the birthday thunder.

Title: Margie is the co-owner/operator of our Amazing Lash Studio in Peoria. Rex has been employed at Right Toyota, in Scottsdale, for the last 14 years and is currently the used car director. Margie: I am very proud of all his success at the dealership. He is known as the guy that wears the bow ties…not just any bow ties but feathered Brackish Bowties. After a 10-hour day at work, Rex often will come to the studio to help me close.

Married/Single: Married on November 5 six years ago…best years of our life! We met in our late 40’s (second marriage for both) and married in Bora Bora. We stayed 10 wonderful days in an over-the-water hut, which was a dream honeymoon.

Kids: Margie: One son, Jason, who is age 36 and lives in AZ, and a 16-month-old grandson. Rex: One son, Austin, age 28 who lives in AZ, and one daughter, Jennifer, age 32 that lives in Hawaii and seven grandchildren.

City you live in: We live in Peoria, AZ, only five minutes from the studio. Margie: I love my commute particularly considering I had to fly to Nashville and other cities throughout my 20-year career in the pet industry.

A typical day in our life includes…

hard work.

I was born…

Rex: I’m a native Phoenician with three brothers and two sisters.

Margie: originally from Southern California but moved to AZ in 1996 and is the youngest of eight children.

Our favorite thing about Arizona…

is the weather and it’s where we found each other.

I’m listening to…

Margie: KLOVE (Contemporary Christian Music)…it’s like constant prayer.

Rex: my wife…happy wife happy life.

Our family…

means the world to both of us.

One thing I cannot live without…

Margie: hello?? My Lashes!

Rex: my wife…aww!!

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

Rex: a politician.

Margie: a veterinarian (but I had a career in the pet industry, so that’s close enough.)

I’m inspired by…


Margie: my Christian faith.

The one person who motivates us is…

our mothers.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

Rex: poverty.

The perfect day would be…

Rex: scuba diving in Cabo, golf, then dinner with my wife.

Margie: spa day in Cabo, day at the pool, and dinner and cocktails with my husband.

My first job was…

Rex: Baskin Robbins.

Margie: Nordstrom Shoe Department. I have three passions…shoes, animals and lashes and I have been blessed to have worked in an industry related to each passion.

Our favorite escape…

our favorite escape is Cabo San Lucas. We love staying at the one and only Palmilla. Margie: also hanging with my two cats in the evening with a glass of chardonnay.

Our life…

is truly blessed.
