A typical day in my life includes…

something different each day. I plan and create lists each day, but as an entrepreneur who is running several companies, every day is different and I’m always running.

I was born…

an introvert but after many years of working on it, I act more extroverted.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

the diversity of climate. Snowboarding in Flagstaff one day and riding our horses through the desert the next. Where else can you have such amazing opportunities?

I’m listening to…

podcasts. I love them, currently hooked on Akimbo, Meditative Stories and Masters of Scale.

My family…

is everything to me. I have a big family and many of them are now in Arizona. Family gatherings are filled with food and laughter.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

Ben Franklin – I read his autobiography and I’m so impressed with what he did in a relatively short life.

One thing I cannot live without…

my passport. I love to travel. I’m always looking for travel deals and planning the next adventure.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

a real estate developer/builder.

I’m inspired by…

my children and their friends. Watching them do so much, so well, reminds me it’s all possible.

The one person who motivates me is…

me. I am my own worst boss… I push myself harder than any boss would.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

add 5 more hours to each day, another day to each week and 20 more years to our lives.

The perfect day would be…

a good cup of coffee in a new city, an afternoon wandering and exploring the city while discovering great street food, then an evening talking and debating issues with friends at a café on the street.

My first job was…

a paperboy. But my first real job was working at a small-town hardware store in high school.

My favorite escape…

starting a new project – burying myself in a new home improvement project or car repair or building renovation is therapy to me. I get to use my mind, my hands, and my creativity.

My life…

is good. I am blessed to have so many amazing people around me and to do the things I love.

I’m currently working on…

me… getting back to the gym and starting a regular fitness routine, and assembling a new stack of books to read. All the things that have gotten marginalized as my life has gotten busier.

Always…

be humble, appreciative, kind and loving.

Never…

forget where you came from and those who help make you the person you are today.

Favorite Quote…

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than the things you did do.”

Biggest Dream…

an apartment in Vienna or Paris where I can escape to when my kids are on their own.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

excuses, diverting responsibility, laziness, and bad drivers.
