A typical day in my life includes

I spend most of my days servicing the clients I have in my wealth management business. In addition, I spend a significant amount of my time with my foundation and the organizations we assist.  The foundation work with military and first responders is how I give back and say thank you for the life I have been given.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

is the scenery, the culture, and the ability to have every convenience of a big city with the ability to be in the wilderness running or biking beautiful trails in just minutes from my home.

news and market information during the days and 80s rock the rest of the time!

My family…

my source of purpose in life. 

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

Winston Churchill. I find him to be one of the most fascinating characters in history.

One thing I cannot live without…

exercise. It gives me balance in my life and enables me to enjoy everything Arizona has to offer.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

a stockbroker. My dream came true!

I’m inspired by…

the incredible commitment of our military and first responders. They give every single day to their fellow man knowing full well they may have to lay down their life for someone else. They are simply amazing.

The one person who motivates me is…

my father. I lost him four years ago, but I think about the life lessons he taught me and I strive to live up to his example.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

I would encourage people to say thank you to those who serve our communities and to recognize they are normal people who sacrifice every day.

The perfect day would be…

a great breakfast followed by a bike ride in the Arizona sun with friends, then fun with my wife and kids.

My first job was…

mowing yards in Oklahoma. My father bought me a mower and a weed eater and said “congrats…this is how you will make money until you can get your own job.” I hated every minute of it but later in life realized it was the best gift he ever gave me… learning the value of hard work.

My favorite escape…

running on the mountain trails of Arizona.

My life…

has been an amazing journey filled the normal ups and downs but blessed beyond anything I could have ever hoped for.

I’m currently working on…

building our foundation so we can continue to serve.

More about John…

John Greenway began his career in 1990 and has 29 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has served in multiple positions while in the financial services industry including financial advisor, branch manager, regional manager, divisional manager, regional vice-president, and now partner and wealth advisor at Fidler Wealth Management.  The breadth of knowledge from these various positions gives him a holistic and valuable perspective on wealth management.

John attended Oklahoma State University and participated in the Wharton School SIA Leadership program where he earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation. In addition, he is a member of the Investments and Wealth Institute and has completed the Dave Ramsey Financial Coach Master Training course.

He currently resides in Mesa, Arizona with his wife of 26 years. They have three children, Austin, McKenzie and Jack. Austin graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in finance, McKenzie is attending Scottsdale Community College, and in July of 2019, Jack returned from Lackland Air Force Base where he completed Air Force basic training and Security Forces Technical School. 

John is an avid cyclist who has completed six endurance cycling events from Scottsdale to San Diego, five marathons, triathlons, and has completed four full Iron Man competitions and three Mojave Death Races. 

In addition to his career, John has used his experience to create two non-profits which serve the needs of injured military and first responder heroes.  Since the inception of his first non-profit in 2008, he has helped to raise more than 8 million dollars for injured heroes. Recently he was named the Luke Air Force Base 2018 Hometown Hero and an Honorary Commander for the 161st Goldwater Air Refueling Wing.  He continues to raise funds and awareness for military and first responders through his foundation, called Mission2Alpha.
