A typical day in my life includes…

waking up early to get myself to the gym to start my day on the right track.  I always try to take advantage of my day and follow up with my network by meeting up for coffee and lunch. I enjoy the opportunity to connect with my partners in person. You can also find me spending my afternoons advising on different boards and committees such as Three Precious Miracles, Prospanica & Latinos Contra el Cancer.

I was born…

in Salinas, CA.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

the beautiful sunsets and great hiking trails.

I’m listening to…

Michelle Obama: Becoming.

My family…

is my world. I am the oldest of two and my parents have been married for 31 years, talk about relationship goals! We are very family-oriented. My sister is my best friend and roommate and I call my parents daily to check up on them and tell them about my day.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

Guy Raz from “How I Built This.” His podcast is phenomenal! He has had the opportunity to interview some of the best entrepreneurs and would love to pick his brain and hear his story.

One thing I cannot live without…

an iced latte with almond milk!

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

a doctor. I was really intrigued by surgeries but later realized bones sticking out of human bodies made me queasy. Not the line of business for me.

I’m inspired by…

risk and challenges. Starting something new that I may have the potential to fail at gets my heart and creativity pumping.

The one person who motivates me is…

my parents. They came to America to give my sister and me a better life. They made many sacrifices and accomplished so much with perseverance and hard work. Their sacrifices motivate me to be the best version of myself.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

straws. Save the turtles! Being environmentally cautious is very important to me. I carry around a stainless steel straw in my purse and gifted them to my friends last Christmas.

The perfect day would be…

eight hours of sleep, coffee, listening to an audiobook on the beach on a nice sunny day, followed by a nice spa visit!

My first job was…

a student worker at the Boys & Girls Club in 8th grade.

My favorite escape…

hopping into my car after a stressful week to lay in the sun and eat poke by the beach! I love the sound of the waves.

My life…

I am the success of Leonor & Martin’s American dream. I am a first-generation Latina, who through love and support overcame an underserved community and became the first in my family to graduate high school, receive a bachelor’s degree and obtain an MBA. Today, I am 29 years old and take pride in being the Vice President of Marketing & Business Development for M3 Commercial Moving & Logistics and Muscular Moving Men & Storage. I am an advocate for my community and am heavily involved with Latinos Contra el Cancer & Three Precious Miracles. I live a very healthy lifestyle and enjoy working out and spending time with my family and friends.

I’m currently working on…

training and prepping for my last bikini bodybuilding show (Summer 2020). I started training and bodybuilding about 4 years ago and have done 2 OCB Bikini shows. I love seeing my body transform and grow year after year!

Always…

make time for yourself! “Invest in your mind, invest in your health, invest in yourself.” As I’ve transitioned into my first executive role, “busy” builds up quick. I ensure to take the time to take care of myself by spending time out of my week to treat myself to the things I enjoy; spa days, family time, brunch with the ladies, etc. The same way that we invest in our careers, we need to invest in ourselves.

Never…

be afraid to take on the unknown! I’ve learned that challenges make you stronger and wiser despite your failures or successes. I believe in continuous growth and that the opportunity to learn and grow is always exciting!

Favorite Quote…

“All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.” – Walt Disney

Biggest Dream…

going back to school to receive my doctorate.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

being on your cellphone at the dinner table. I think it’s so rude.
