hockey. I started playing when I was 4. I stopped playing for a couple of years at the end of high school and found ways to get into trouble because I had too much time on my hands. The hockey community is so tight knit and supportive of each other…no matter where you play.

I’m inspired by…
people who do their best or who care even when no one is looking. Like the person who picks up garbage on the street because they care about their neighborhood. My mum used to do that.
The one person who motivates me is…
myself. I try to teach my kids that they have control over their moods and motivations. Situations and scenarios are not inherently good or bad, but we interpret them as being good or bad. We can always choose to see the good in every situation and use that to motivate our actions. It’s difficult and something I’m continuously working on.
If I could change anything in the world, it would be…
making the world a more thoughtful place.
The perfect day would be…
playing a pick-up hockey game with the kids, long dim-sum lunch with the family, seeing the Toronto Maple Leafs win the Stanley Cup on home ice.
My first job was…
working in a hardware store fixing screen doors. I worked alone in a dark basement and lasted long enough to get one paycheck. I spent it all on a jean jacket that I cut the sleeves off.

anything involving “date night.”

drivers who don’t understand the flow of traffic. They speed up to block you from changing lanes, they make right hand turns into the far left lane (or left hand turns into the far right lane) or they don’t yield to faster traffic coming up behind them in the left lane…and Fortnite.
