A typical day in my life includes…

early mornings with the children waking up around 6am to make breakfast together and watch some cartoons before we head to our local gym for a couple hours of strength training/conditioning. After, we will run our errands and head home to cook lunch before the kids nap. I will head into the office around 1pm to treat patients in my clinic in Tempe, AZ at Arizona Aesthetics and Wellness until about 8pm. This is a typical day most days of the week, but on the weekends we like to travel to northern Arizona to escape the heat and let the kids explore our state.

I was born…

in Mesa, AZ at 6lbs 14oz and 22 inches long (tall and skinny). My parents are Gary and Janet and I have on younger sister, Taylor.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

the ability for my family to enjoy all seasons within a couple hour drive. Also, QT gas stations and Dunkin Donuts and the Sun Devils!

I’m listening to…

I either listen to podcasts about health care or nutrition and training or we always leave our radio on Sirius XM The Highway because we are country music fans.

My family…

is my everything. I am a family man through and through and I grew up close to my family, so that is the dynamic I wanted to create in my own immediate family unit.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

my grandpa (Papa). He passed away before I finished my doctorate program and before I met my wife and had children. I would love to sit across the table from him again and share everything that has happened and hear those nuggets of wisdom and love he used to share with me. I miss him very much every day.

One thing I cannot live without…

my family. My family has made me who I am today and my wife is my biggest blessing along with my kids. Without my wife and her tenacious spirit and hard nose stubborn attitude that compliment her loving and caring personality, I don’t know where I would be today.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

a professional baseball player. I played baseball the longest out of all the sports I played and it seemed to fit my personality and physical abilities the best. Football was my second longest sport and I knew I could succeed in that as well, but something about baseball always seemed more appealing.

I’m inspired by…

my wife. She owns her own hair salon in Chandler, AZ and has been self employed for 11 years and has worked so hard and shown me that its possible to be your own boss and reap the benefits of hard work with determination and focus.

The one person who motivates me is…

that’s hard to narrow down to one person, but I am motivated every day by my kids because I want to show them that they can have whatever they want in life as long as they put in the work to achieve it. Nothing will be handed to them and they will need to stay disciplined and have the tenacity to finish the job.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

I honestly feel that everything in the world has its place and it’s all a part of who we are as a human race. We all make our own decisions and choose our own path in life. Sometimes we make the right decisions and prosper and sometimes our decision lead us to a place in life where we can either learn from our mistakes or keep making them and live with the consequences.

The perfect day would be…

coffee and donuts in the morning on a big wrap around porch in a rocking chair with my wife and kids enjoying life. Then, taking a long afternoon nap after a day in the pool and dinner by a fire under the stars.

My first job was…

Journey’s shoe store in Superstition mall. I had no idea about sales or shoes…I just knew it looked like a fun place to work and most of the employees were my age and I got a discount on any shoes I wanted so it was a win-win.

My favorite escape…

when I can take the kids and wife up north to our families home in Pinetop, AZ and stay for a couple days. Just being able to get away to a beautiful area with amazing family time and always great food is a perfect way to escape reality!

My life…

is perfect. I have a beautiful, talented and loving wife and two, almost three, amazing kids with a great career that I am blessed to have. My group of close friends is something else I am blessed with because I believe that the ones in your close circle reflect who you are as a person and I am pretty proud of that. Every day I also get to work with my patients that I know respect me and appreciate my help and it makes me feel so good that I can bring relief back to their lives and provide them with the ability to live life pain free like they deserve.

I’m currently working on…

growing and developing my own Chiropractic practice and my personal training company at the same time. Also, beginning a Master’s Program for Nutrition and Functional Medicine. I aim to be able to work with athletes of all skill levels and help them achieve their goals to get to the next level of their fitness and health.

Always…

“Leave a place better than you found it” – Coach Jim Beall.

Never…

live a minute of life unhappy. That’s 60 seconds you won’t ever get back.

Favorite Quote…

Do or do not, there is no try” – Yoda.

Biggest Dream…

that my kids grow up to be healthy, happy and contributing adults in society and help make a difference in the world around them. On a selfish note, I would love to own a large cabin in the woods of Montana and be secluded enough to have peace and quiet and enjoy the nature around me.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

I cannot stand open mouth chewers or any sounds related to that. That sound is like nails on a chalkboard to me.
