Name: Brynn Johnson Facebook Age: 28 Title: Marketing Manager Married/Single: In a Relationship Kids: 0 City you live in: Phoenix I was born… in Phoenix. Proud to say I’m a third generation, Arizona native. My favorite thing about Arizona… I have always loved the monsoons in the summer and the variety of landscapes across the state. Arizona is one of the only places in the U.S where you’re only a few hours away from the beautiful beaches, ski slopes and of course Mexico for a getaway. I’m listening to… anything Country. My family… is my rock. Theykeep me on my toes and have always encouraged me to surpass my goals. If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… my grandfather, Woody Johnson. He passed before I was old enough to have conversations with him on a professional level. He was extremely entrepreneurial and I would love to pick his brain on concepts and ideas for our restaurants across the Valley. One thing I cannot live without… my morning dirty chai latte from Dutch Brothers. When I was younger, I wanted to be… a lawyer. Legend has it that I also told my parents I wanted to be a baton twirler at ASU football games. I think the marketing arena suits me best, as well as cheering on our Sun Devils comfortably from the stands. I’m inspired by… undoubtedly, my three older brothers. They all are incredibly ambitious, as they have always challenged themselves professionally and personally- a quality that is important for a little sister to learn. The one person who motivates me is … my mom and dad. They are always encouraging me to follow my dreams. If I could change anything in the world, it would be… several of our stores work with youth foundations throughout the Valley. The concept of bettering young adults lives has always been a mission I’ve been passionate about. If I could change anything in the world, it would be to instill similar programs and resources around the globe. The perfect day would be… going on an adventure in the mountains or the beach (Luckily either is only a few hours away- see above!). My first job was… believe it or not- I worked at Macayo’s! I was a hostess at our Scottsdale restaurant, located on Shea and Scottsdale Road. My favorite escape… would be traveling to place that I can experience for the first time. My life… is organized chaos. I’m currently working on… our Marketing Strategy for the rest of 2014.This year we are working on a “back to basics” approach, as we want to carry on Woody’s vision while exploring platforms to expand our business. Always… find a way to make the right opportunities work. Never… rule out a new opportunity. Favorite Quote… “Do not stop thinking of life as an adventure. You have no security unless you can live bravely, excitingly, imaginatively; unless you can choose a challenge instead of competence.”- Eleanor Roosevelt. Biggest Dream… is to launch a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding education programs for young adults in areas where they may not have the resources to do so. My Pet Peeve(s)… outstanding emails (or when you have items on the phone that have the notification sign on them).
