A typical day in my life includes…

right now, I have a typical working adult life. During the work week: Walk the dog, water the plants, make coffee and head to work around 6:30-6:45. Off work around 5:30-6, home to walk the dog, (maybe) go to the gym, then dinner and sleep soon after. During the weekends: Try to sleep in, walk the dog, go to the gym, do all the cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping that I didn’t do during the week, catch up on TV shows (Read: I alternate between “The Office” and “Parks and Rec”), catch up with family and friends, and try to get some more sleep.

I was born…

in Orlando Florida, raised in Casper Wyoming.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

palm trees, very mild winters, more restaurants than I can even imagine (growing up in Casper, Wyoming, I had a limited selection) and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

I’m listening to…

Pandora every day. Also, I’ve started listening to audiobooks on my commute to work and I always knock out a few audiobooks when I drive home for the holidays.

My family…

is big, laid back and super fun. I have five siblings, mom, stepdad and dad – and I love and miss them all. Holidays are my favorite time of year when I get to be home with them for traditions, drinking and playing games. It’s the best time of the year.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

my brother Marc, who passed away in September 2017. I’d do anything to have dinner with him again.

One thing I cannot live without…

coffee, chocolate, sushi, pizza…was this about food? Beside food, I cannot live without God, family, friends and my dog Boston.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

in the medical field! My mom is a registered nurse and a nursing instructor at Casper College. I started college in the paramedic program, which I loved, but quickly realized I wasn’t emotionally equipped for that life. That’s when I switched majors to construction management, and I have loved it ever since.

I’m inspired by…

my parents’ faith, strength, and hard work.

The one person who motivates me is…

myself. Nobody can convince me to do anything better than I can convince myself.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

that’s a tough one. The lack of love for ourselves, our neighbors and the people we don’t understand.

The perfect day would be…

surrounded by my family and friends and somewhere outdoors with some good food.

My first job was…

as a janitor for my stepdad’s office building. My first official job was in high school, filing paperwork for a doctor’s office after school.

My favorite escape…

being alone, outdoors and away from technology.

My life…

has never gone how I’ve planned it, but I am extremely blessed and doing my best to leave it all in God’s hands. I’m working on living in the present, doing the best I can today and not worrying about what I can’t control.

I’m currently working on…

a 20-story apartment complex in downtown Phoenix called The Stewart. Personally, I’m always slowly working on home improvements in my condo and a few art projects when I have spare time.

Always…

say I love you, be supportive and have compassion for people. Also, have fun and laugh at yourself!

Never…

take yourself too seriously. And never stop improving.

Favorite Quote…

“Your beliefs don’t make you a better person; your behavior does.” And also, Phillipians 4:6 “Do not worry about anything, instead pray about everything.”

Biggest Dream…

be as amazing as my mother someday.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

bad grammar and spelling!
