A typical day in my life includes…

waking up around 5:30 or 6 usually by one of the kids who comes to our bed for a morning hug or to ask for something. Getting everyone ready for school and having breakfast together. After school drop offs I start my day at the office. As the owner of a relatively new business, I wear many hats and work on a myriad of activities such as reviewing legal documents, working with the accounting team, developing operations procedures, doing marketing and more. The best part about my job is that through Kivoya, I get to meet many interesting people whether it is a home owner who wants to have us manage their home, a potential guest, or a blogger that we want to have visit the site so that they can see what we do. In the evenings, I like to spend time with the kids, sometimes we go swimming or to the park and it is always fun to do a game night or a movie night together.

I was born…

in Guadalajara, Mexico, the land of tequila and mariachi!

My favorite thing about Arizona…

the gorgeous mountains that we have all around.

I’m listening to…

silence.

My family…

is my one true love.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

one of my descendants five hundred years from now so that he/she could tell me about the evolution in humanity.

One thing I cannot live without…

water.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

a Journalist.

I’m inspired by…

people who do good deeds and really push themselves to give their best.

The one person who motivates me is…

my children are a wonderful source of inspiration and my husband is amazing at helping me believe in myself and at helping me set higher goals.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

I would like to have all human interactions happen from a place of love inside ourselves.

The perfect day would be…

today.

My first job was…

in the export department of a shoe factory in Guadalajara, the best thing I got from it aside from the experience was a lifelong friend, my boss back then.

My favorite escape…

any bookstore.

My life…

is a canvas that is getting more strokes day by day and is creating a beautiful picture to share with the world.

I’m currently working on…

establishing Kivoya as the vacation rental company of choice for people who own homes or condos in Mexico. We work hard as a team every day to give both guests and homeowners wonderful experiences. We care for every aspect of the homes as well as manage the entire rental process and guest experience so that travelers and homeowners can rest easy.

Always…

give your best.

Never…

forget that it is up to each one of us to make this world a better place.

Favorite Quote…

The Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would like them do unto you”.

Biggest Dream…

to help my kids become whole hearted adults who give their best to the world and who carry the least amount of baggage possible within themselves.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

lies.
