A typical day in my life includes… working hard and focusing on solutions. I’m usually meeting with clients, communicating on the phone, making sure my son is okay, all the while keeping my wife, Amy, happy.

I was born… in Queens, New York, in 1966.

My favorite thing about Arizona… Honestly, I feel like I’m on vacation every day. The weather is incredible, and you can do so many things in one day. Coming from New York, a crowded busy city, you pretty much run one errand and your day is gone. Here in the Valley of the Sun, you can do so many things in one day;  run multiple errands, lunch with clients, happy hour with your friends then to the lake…hop on your boat… there’s just more room to live in AZ!

I’m listening to… My playlist is all over the place — everything from blues to heavy metal, classic rock, and even techno. I listen to a little bit of everything.

My family… isn’t the traditional kind. I’ll admit, sometimes work comes first, and I do feel bad about that. I’m very committed to my clients, and sometimes that means I give more of myself to work than to family.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… my late father. I would want to let him know that he was right; everything he said about life was true.

One thing I cannot live without… my loyal staff, Melissa and Lila. They are the glue that shape my business and keep our entire Group of agents laser focused. Oh, and my wife, Amy…of course! If I may add one more…annual brothers trips around the world with Peter!

I’m inspired by… successful older people and their stories. I’ve always surrounded myself with people older than me, even when I was young, because I’ve found they have so much wisdom and life experience to share.

The person who motivates me is… my son motivates me. I’m not a strict dad and more of a best friend, and sometimes when I see him make mistakes, it makes me want to do better… to be a better role model.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be… I’d want people to be more open-minded and stop stereotyping others. I can’t stand when people categorize entire groups without understanding them. I wish more people took the time to learn and see beyond labels.

The perfect day would be… being out on the boat, “The Branch Office” and then docking to finish off smoking a rack of BBQ ribs and also cooking up the most amazing and delicious smoked salmon for friends and family to enjoy — that’s my happy place!

My first job was… a server at Café Bonjourno in the Citicorp skyscraper building on Lexington Ave in New York City.

My favorite escape… scuba diving. It’s peaceful, quiet, and completely disconnected from the world. Nobody can bother you 85′ deep — no phone calls, no noise, just calm…. and maybe a few sharks. It’s my version of meditation.

A life lesson I live by… my 10th grade biology teacher, Mrs. Odden, once told me, “Don’t worry about the how … just do.”  That stuck with me. It’s how I’ve lived my life ever since.

I’m currently working on… staying healthy, maintaining balance, and focusing on good habits for the future. I’ve always been an entrepreneur. We’re getting ready to open the second phase of The Arcadian, a sought-after community in the heart of Arcadia/Biltmore. It’s near 32nd and Indian School and the townhomes are modern and have some great features with views of Camelback!

Always… work on solutions. Never dwell on the problems. Never think it’s not going to be okay, because it usually will be. I always tell people, “Should be fine.”

Favorite quote… “Never, never, never give up.” – Winston Churchill.

Biggest dream… to own a big yacht, around 75 to 85 feet, with a full staff. That’s the dream.

My pet peeves… Oh, I’ve got a few!
– Bad email etiquette.
– People asking me questions they could easily Google.
– Lack of commitment or follow-through.
Basically, I value people who take initiative and respect others’ time.
