After years of helping professional athletes here in the Valley (along with my Partner, Terry Brock) Founded SportStar Relocation Arizona LLC. /SportStar Relocation Team Concept & Client Athlete-Marketing Program June, 2013. Currently Realtor with Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty.

I was born…

Youngest of five children in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan to Frances & Ted Sr.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

Is the quality of life and abundance of healthy/happy people. Even the expressways here are beautiful and I’m not sure if people really appreciate that enough.

I’m listening to…

Too many to list but currently can’t stop listening to new Smashing Pumpkins “Oceania” and new Alter Bridge CD “Fortress,” but Frank Sinatra still reins over my house – especially at cocktail hour/dinner and weekends!

My family…

Means the world to me and so does my inner-circle of close friends. After losing both my parents in 1998 and 1999 to Cancer – life changes quickly in so many aspects. You grow up immediately and realize exactly what is important – family and friends!

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

My parents Francis and Ted Sr. – it’s been almost 15 years that they passed and dinner with them would be so special after all this time – I’m not sure I can even put into words.

One thing I cannot live without

Too easy to say iphone! Unconditional love and support from those close to me especially my sister Jane who also lives in Ariz.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

A professional baseball player or and actor.

I’m inspired by…

People who aren’t afraid to fail or take risks. Failure is a stepping stone to success.

The one person who motivates me is…

My father Ted Petersen Sr. He grew up very poor and won the Wisconsin State Tennis Championship for 16 year-olds at age 12. Two Big Ten Singles Tennis Championships at Northwestern, survived WWII with two purple hearts and was very successful in the automotive industry in Detroit. But most of all, he was an incredible father, husband and role model for me and continues to influence my life

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

I’d like to eliminate the obvious choices of poverty, racism, and cruelty to animals – but first choice would be to find a cure for Cancer. It took both my parents and I have to believe we will see a cure during my life time. It effects too many families.

The perfect day would be…

Yoga class at Life Power or DC Ranch Village, healthy lunch and late afternoon movie.

My first job was…

After college was McCann Erickson in Detroit. Being in an advertising agency and seeing all sides of the advertising industry was an incredible experience as it exposes you to so many aspects of the business and creative people.

My favorite escape…

Traveling to my cottage in Gaylord, Mich. with family and friends for July 4 and Xmas Holidays is always a very special time each and every year. I never want to leave those two trips

My life…

Is busy yet exciting, stressful yet fun. It’s always a challenge to balance it all with SSR and SSR AZ demands during the day. That is why going to the gym or attending Yoga class is important part of my schedule – it provides me with balance.

I’m currently working on…

Increasing my Real Estate business for my SportStar Relocation Arizona Team at Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty. We have an incredible “Client Athlete-Marketing Program” that exposes luxury properties to all the professional athletes all across the Valley, and that’s generating lots of positive buzz in the real estate world! It’s taken over three years to develop this program and I’m very proud of what I’ve created for my clients!

Always…

Be a gentlemen, open doors, have good table manners and treat others how you wish to be treated.

Never…

Quit or fail to try something because someone else says you can’t do it, or won’t succeed.

Favorite Quote…

“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” – Wayne Gretzky

Biggest Dream…

Is to grow old with someone special and have both a spectacular home in SilverLeaf and winter house in Colorado or Utah where I can ski daily and watch it snow all winter long.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

Treating service industry poorly, bad manners, sitting directly in front of me when there are 200 open seats in the movie theater and driving exactly the speed limit.
