A typical day in my life includes…

I try to workout first thing in the morning by going to a barre or yoga class; if not first thing, definitely in the evening. Next: coffee. I simply love the ritual of sipping on coffee in the morning, accompanied with checking emails and connecting with my Beautycounter clients. I typically make a smoothie bowl for breakfast, which often results in snapping a photo of it to post on my Instagram — that’s how it all started! When I’m not reading up on the latest news in nutrition and non-toxic skin care, I’m either recipe testing or working on my side hustle that I mentioned: designing social stationery for my line topknot paperie. In the late afternoon I like to get outside and go for a walk. Fresh air does both the mind and body good!  Afterwards, I start to plan and make dinner. Winding down my day in the kitchen is simply the best. Before bed, without fail, my husband and I always watch a re-run of The Office or Parks and Recreation.

I was born…

in Concord, Massachusetts. East coast girl!

My favorite thing about Arizona…

is the weather and mountain views.

I’m listening to…

John Mayer never disappoints. Also, The Lumineers and Drake.

My family…

are my best friends and closest confidants (besides my hubs!). I talk to my mom, dad and sister in a group text pretty much all day, everyday.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

with my grandfather who I never met and my late Granny. From all the stories I’ve been told, the love they had for each other was unmatched.  My grandfather was super artistic, and my Granny was the least materialistic woman, which I admire. And you would never meet someone who was more outspoken about how proud she was of her family.

One thing I cannot live without…

staying active. I love the feeling after I workout or go for a walk. Refreshes my mind too.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

I knew I always wanted to end up doing something creative.

I’m inspired by…

other health and wellness influencers. There are so many out there right now doing what they love, trying to make an impact on others, and they are hustling! It’s not easy, and they keep me motivated to never give up.

The one person who motivates me is…

my husband. He’s such a hard worker. I’m so proud of him. He believes in me too and is very encouraging.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

for there to be less judgement. I would love to live in a world where people support each other more and also take more care of themselves – focus less and worry less about what others are doing or thinking.  As the saying goes, “do you!”

The perfect day would be…

filled with spending time with those I love and eating yummy food. I’d start the day with a fun workout class, followed by a coffee and breakfast date. If we’re talking truly perfect, I’d be near the ocean. Walking on a beach with a partner to chat with is the best. Then, wine and cheese time. I love putting together a beautiful cheese board. I’d make a delicious meal for everyone with lots of dishes to pick and choose from.

My first job was…

when I was a freshman in high school. I worked in retail at a small women’s boutique. I loved being behind the cosmetics counter and merchandising the windows!

My favorite escape…

the beach. Not so easily done here in AZ!

My life…

is blessed.

I’m currently working on…

gosh, so many things. Growing my blog and brand, being fearless and stepping out of my comfort zone! And more concretely, an e-book of recipes.

Always…

say “I love you” to your loved ones.

Never…

get bogged down with thoughts that others are judging where you are in life. Easier said than done, and I’m still learning this.

Favorite Quote…

I’m not sure who said it… “Free your heart from hatred. Free your mind from worries. Live simply. Give more. Expect less.”

Biggest Dream…

to grow a brand that allows me to showcase my creativity in both health and wellness and art.  And to be content with the success of my various projects along the way.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

laziness and messiness.
