She is a family and cosmetic dentist at Sonoran Desert Dentistry in Scottsdale.

Kids: No human children yet, but we have 4 furry (rescue dogs) that we love dearly!

City you live in: Scottsdale

A typical day in my life includes…

I typically meditate for 10-15 min as soon as I wake up. This helps me see all the good I have in my life, and get my day started with the feeling of gratitude and positive outlook. I frequently jog with my dogs in the morning before heading to the office. I am surrounded by an amazing team at work that allows me to do what I love, which is to interact with children and provide excellent dental care.

I was born…

in Tehran, Iran.  I’m the youngest of four children.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

beautiful sunsets, clear skyline at night, and sunshine during the day. I lived in Buffalo, NY for 4 years during my dental training and I did not like the cold and snow.

I’m listening to…

NPR public radio, audiobooks on Audible, all different kinds of music, lots of oldies, Queen, and music from different cultures and countries.

My family…

includes my parents, three siblings, and seven nieces and nephews that live in Maryland.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

Dr. Wayne Dyer. His teachings have had a big influence in my life.

One thing I cannot live without…

a toothbrush ☺

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

a veterinarian. I have always had a love for other living beings, especially animals.

I’m inspired by…

reading books and traveling. I love learning about different cultures. The book “Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself” written by Dr. Joe Dispenza was the very last book that inspired me.

The one person who motivates me is…

my wife, Dr. Bazargan. We are always motivating and supporting each other to be the best version of ourselves.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

I would stop the many wars around the globe. I would bring our sons and daughters home.

My first job was…

a gas station cashier in Baltimore, Maryland.

My favorite escape…

is camping in nature with my wife and dogs. We love Payson and Prescott for camping.

My life…

is fun, joyful, productive, challenging and very satisfying. I love what I do for work. I feel blessed to be able to make a difference in people’s lives.

I’m currently working on…

educating and raising awareness about Tongue Tie and Lip Tie issues in infants, children, adolescents and adults. Tongue Ties and Lip Ties diagnosis and treatment are not being thought about at our medical and dental schools in the United States.  Many people are suffering from a long list of issues that are very easily treatable using a laser in 10-15 min.  These issues include latching issues for nursing mothers, speech issues in older kids (who are unable to pronounce “R”, “Z”, “TH”), and airway and breathing issues at night for people of all ages. These airway issues are very serious and lead to lack of adequate restful sleep at night and in turn negatively affect their learning ability, attention span and overall success in life. We diagnose and treat this issue in all age groups, from infants as young as one week old to parents who have this issue and the results are pretty astonishing.

Always…

be kind to others. Treat others as you want to be treated.

Never…

let your ego cloud your judgment.

Favorite Quote…

I have so many, here are a few:

“Everything is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to keep you from growing. You get to choose.”

“Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.”

“You don’t need to be better than anyone else, you just need to be better than you used to be.”

Biggest Dream…

my dream has always been to make a difference in people’s lives. I am currently living my dream of changing so many children’s lives not only through dental education, but more importantly via diagnosing and treating lip and tongue ties. This saves kids from experiencing so many preventable issues. We are enabling them to feed, breathe, speak and develop better and live happier lives.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

negativity and the unwillingness to improve oneself.
