Joe Natale, Owner of Lulu’s Italian Water Ice

Lulu Italian Ice

I was born…

August 23, 1967 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

Arizona’s climate enables me to be active outdoors all year round.

I’m listening to…

Anything Adelle.

My family…

I am the proud father of 3 wonderful daughters, Lauren, Jennifer and Anna. They simply are good kids.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

Any of my children.

One thing I cannot live without…

Daily exercise.

When I was younger…

My heart burned to play golf professionally.

I am inspired by…

The American dream and the ability to achieve anything that I choose in this free and great country.

The one person who motivates me is…

Dennis Prager motivates me to be a better person every day.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

If I could change anything, I would have spent more time with my family and less time at work.

The perfect day would be…

I have come to learn that there is no perfect day, but generally if nothing bad happens, it is a good day.

My first job was…

Delivering newspapers for the Philadelphia Bulletin.

My favorite escape…

Is to disappear into the spinning room and ride a stationary bike until I have a puddle of sweat under me, while listening to my favorite music.

My life…

Is a roller coaster with many ups and downs, but it is good and I have been blessed with much luck, good family and friends.

I am currently working on…

Finishing a book that has been written and collecting dust for over 5 years.

Always…

Tell the truths and do what you say you will do!!!

Never…

Quit!!!

My favorite quote…

My grandfather would always say in reply to some excuse: ” If, Dog, rabbit,” If the hunter had a dog, he would have gotten the rabbit, but he didn’t have a dog and he didn’t get the rabbit. Don’t make excuses..

I dream…

That the product that I make is in every home and that it obtains a status bigger than Haagen – Dazs or Ben and Jerry’s. I think that everyone should experience the simple culinary pleasure of my creations.

My biggest pet peeve…

I can’t stand in general, when people lack gratitude “a simple thank you for holding a door or allowing some driver on the road to merge into traffic in front of me without a simple hand gesture thanking me”.
