Title: Creative Director of WVSH

Married/Single: Single

Kids: None

City you live in: San Diego,CA

A typical day in my life includes…

waking up for some exercise then hygeine which is mostly hair care since I’ve recently decided to grow as much hair on my face and head as possible. Then I’ll check emails and overnight messages and get started with a bomb breakfast. Then I like to get all the moving around to different brick and mortar places a bit on the early side when they are usually most empty. I’ll probably cap off the night with design work I feel like after business hours is the perfect time to spend in a creative process.

I was born in…

in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Yes…I know…the Office.

My favorite thing about Arizona is…

the youth. I mean these kids really know how to tear it up and everyone looks so good! I’m pretty social so I find it easy to connect with a bunch of people out there. The best Sunday Funday’s around too.

I’m listening to…

2 Chainz – Bigger Than You. I’ve never heard a bad feature from that man. Truuuuuu.

My family…

as legit as a family can get. We are very big and very close even though I don’t get to see them much since I live on the opposite side of the US.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

either Jesus or Barack Obama. I feel like both of these fellas have some answers to some very important questions I have.

One thing I cannot live without is…

art. Music, film, photography, painting, fashion design, sculpture, architecture…I feel like all these things are what shapes us as a person. It has to be the most powerful thing around. Entire cities and cultures built around a commonality of the art we are exposed to and choose to resonate with.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

an artist for a living. Fast forward to 2018 and look at your boy! I mean I suppose most kids like drawing pictures but I really didn’t see myself doing anything else later in life.

I’m inspired by…

all these designers I see making masterpieces out of sheets and killing it in their own way. There’s so much creativity in this field you can make almost anything you want to make and somebody is dying for it.

The one person who motivates me is…

myself. I feel like I can’t let myself and others down it’s just not an option at this point in my life.

My personal style…

is pretty west coast heavy but with a bit more layers. My ideal outfits include a pair of Levis, some Vans, a denim jacket, a pretty dope tee shirt and a hand knit beanie.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

everything like that Nas and Kanye song. Just turn the whole thing upside down and shake it like a snow globe. I feel like we have way more figured out than we put into action as a planet.

The perfect day would be…

waking up to the most fire breakfast burrito I’ve ever eaten followed by some midday shopping and some kind of exercise and ending with the most intense party with my friends. The kind of parties that go until the next day.

My first job was…

the United States Marine Corps. Rah!

My favorite escape would be…

another Euro trip with some of my closest fashion friends. Nothing like a bunch of California guys tearin’ it up in our Vans.

My life…

is pretty dense. I feel like I’ve lived a bunch of lives in this one life. I’ll definitely have some dope stories to tell my grandkids. I should probably work on kids though first.

I’m currently working on…

this next season of womenswear. Its my most fun yet challenging collection yet but I’m ahead of the game on the design portion so I get to take more time and have fun with it this year.

I can’t wait for Phoenix Fashion Week because…

the runway gives me energy and its my dirty 30th birthday on October 14th. I can’t not be hype about that.

Always…

have an optimistic approach to an unknown situation. It’s by far the most practical way to go about things. A negative mindset is toxic and it can ruin the people around you as well.

Never…

sweat what a hater has to say. Take criticisms at its source and be humble enough to make a change given better information. That’s intelligence in a nutshell.

Favorite Quote…

“On a good day I’m okay. On a bad day I’m okay.”

Biggest Dream…

to open a low cost design school where inner city people can learn pattern making, draping, screen printing and I want to build robots to help with the unsafe working conditions in places with heavy low cost production like India.

My Pet Peeve…

is making excessive excuses instead of just being practical about situations. I feel like way more effort is spend in avoiding something and making an excuse for it than just sitting down and actually getting whatever it is done.
