NickiFit A to Z is a health coaching and personal training studio in Scottsdale. Nicole helps women in midlife, older adults, and beginners build strength, improve mobility, reduce pain, and create healthier habits that support long-term wellbeing.
Her approach combines strength training, mobility work, nutrition coaching, yoga, and lifestyle support because she’s found that most people don’t need another program. They need practical strategies that fit their real lives.
“My goal is simple: help people move better, feel stronger, and have more energy for the things they love most,” she said.
AZF: What is your “life motto”?
Work hard. Play hard. Building a business requires grit, patience, and a willingness to wear a lot of hats. I take my work seriously, and I genuinely love helping people improve their health and quality of life. But I also believe the whole point of taking care of ourselves is to fully enjoy life. I love travel, outdoor adventures, and exploring new places, and I try to live by the same philosophy I teach my clients: build a body that allows you to confidently say yes to whatever season, opportunity, or adventure comes next.
AZF: Did you always know that you wanted to be an entrepreneur? If not, when did you realize that it was the right path for you?
No. After graduating college I started down a more traditional career path. Becoming an entrepreneur happened gradually as I discovered how much I loved helping people improve their health and quality of life. Over time, I realized I wanted the freedom to create my own programs, build deeper relationships with clients, and serve people in a way that aligned with my values.
Entrepreneurship has stretched me in ways I never expected. It’s challenged me, humbled me, and taught me a lot about resilience. But it’s also allowed me to build a business centered around helping others, which makes the challenges worth it.
AZF: How do you feel best supported?
I feel most supported through genuine connection. Whether it’s family, friends, clients, or fellow business owners, I value relationships built on honesty, encouragement, and mutual support. As entrepreneurs, it’s easy to feel like we have to figure everything out ourselves. I’ve learned that having people who listen, share ideas, celebrate wins, and remind you that you’re not doing this alone makes all the difference.
AZF: What motivates you to keep going amidst the challenges that come with being an entrepreneur?
The people I serve. I’ll be honest, there have been moments over the years when I’ve questioned whether entrepreneurship was the right path for me. Running a business can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be exhausting. There are a lot of moving parts and a lot of uncertainty.
But every time a client tells me they’re sleeping better, moving with less pain, feeling stronger, or finally have the confidence to do something they didn’t think was possible, I’m reminded why I started. What motivates me most is knowing that the work I do extends far beyond a workout or a nutrition plan. It’s helping someone keep up with their grandchildren, return to an activity they love, travel with confidence, or simply feel at home in their body again. Those moments make the hard days worth it.

AZF: Describe your perfect Saturday.
A slow morning with coffee on the patio with my fur baby, Izzy, before the heat kicks in. I’m pretty strong in my faith, so this quiet time usually includes time with God, a chance to move slow and be intentional before the day begins. If the weather is nice, you’ll probably find me outside walking or hiking.
I love being active, but not in a rigid “workout” kind of way. For me, movement is about finding peace, enjoying the moment, and appreciating the beauty around me.
AZF: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out?
I’d encourage them to stay true to their values as they build. There will always be people telling you the “right” way to build a business, market yourself, or find success. Listen, learn, and stay open-minded, but don’t lose sight of who you are or why you started in the first place. Success usually takes longer than people expect, but building something that feels authentic and aligned is worth the extra time.
AZF: What excites you most about being an entrepreneur?
The freedom to work with people using my own unique approach. I love getting to know my clients and being part of their journey. There is something incredibly rewarding about watching someone go from feeling frustrated, stuck, or discouraged to feeling strong, confident, and capable again.
I also love the ability to create programs and services that truly meet people’s needs instead of just checking off boxes to satisfy a “one-size-fits-all” approach. And I love that no two days are ever the same. One day I’m teaching yoga, the next I’m helping someone regain strength after an injury, and another day I’m leading a workshop or group fitness class… or often all of those things on the same day.
