MEND Wellness recently celebrated the grand opening of its new 7,000-square-foot wellness center, marking the completion of a transformative project led by WDS Integrated Design Build. The facility was designed to provide a comprehensive approach to health, combining traditional medical services with wellness-focused treatments and holistic care options.
The center offers a broad range of services, including concierge medicine, hormone health programs, women’s health services, medical weight management, nutrition counseling, yoga, acupuncture, chiropractic care, massage therapy and IV infusion treatments. Membership options are available, allowing patients to create personalized wellness plans supported by ongoing guidance and care.
“From the beginning, the WDS team took the time to truly understand how we wanted the space to function, not just how we wanted it to look,” said Founder Dr. Michael Beck. “They asked questions we hadn’t considered, identified challenges before they became problems and brought together the right experts to make sure the facility could support our services today and as we grow in the future.”
The project serves as an example of how wellness facilities are evolving beyond traditional healthcare environments. Today’s consumers increasingly expect spaces that support preventative care, recovery, fitness and overall lifestyle improvement in addition to treating illness or injury.
For MEND, that meant creating a facility where a patient might meet with a physician, attend a yoga class, receive nutritional guidance and schedule a therapeutic massage, all within the same location. According to WDS founder Mike Marden, the success of the project highlights the advantages of an integrated design-build process, particularly for facilities where functionality is as important as aesthetics.
“One of the biggest advantages of design-build is the ability to bring the right people to the table,” Marden said. “Successful projects are about more than delivering a finished space. By bringing the right experts into the conversation, we can help owners make informed decisions and avoid costly surprises. That’s what allows us to help clients protect their vision while creating spaces that function exactly as intended.”
From boutique fitness concepts and longevity clinics to integrative health centers, consumers are seeking proactive approaches to maintaining physical, mental and emotional well-being. Now open in Arcadia, MEND Wellness offers a new option for those looking to take a more comprehensive approach to their health.
By combining medical expertise with wellness services and personalized care, the center aims to help clients not only address immediate health concerns but also build sustainable habits that support long-term well-being. Learn more at Mend Wellness Collective.
