Best of Our Valley Spotlight: Remedy Pilates & Barre, ‘Best Pilates Studio’

For over the past 20 years, we’ve celebrated the Valley’s best. From the top businesses and professionals to the people who make it all happen, Arizona Foothills Magazine’s annual Best of Our Valley contest recognizes Arizona’s crème de la crème across more than 400 categories. From the best doctors and best resort down to the best cup of coffee you can find around town, each Best of titleholder is chosen by those who know the city best – our readers.

Each week, we’ll be highlighting individual winners from Best of Our Valley 2018, who share their advice, insights and thoughts on what it means to be a part of this exclusive list.

Remedy Pilates & Barre

The Best of spotlight is on Remedy Pilates & Barre, who claimed Best Pilates Studio. Congrats, Remedy Pilates & Barre!

AFM: What does it mean to you to be a Best of Our Valley winner?
Remedy Pilates & Barre (RP&B): Winning Best of Our Valley means more to us personally than the marketing benefits. When we opened in 2008 it was hard to imagine where things would go. Our mission has always been to provide the best in Pilates practice and this award solidifies we are headed in the right direction.

AFM: What’s your favorite part about being the Best of Our Valley’s Best Pilates Studio?
RP&B: Our favorite part about being the Best Pilates Studio in our Valley is the enthusiasm from our clients and our instructors. We are a full house of supportive men and women, so receiving this honor reminds us all how lucky we are to be a part of the Remedy family.

AFM: What advice would you give to others to be the “best” in your field?
RP&B: Having a business mindset with a compassionate perspective is the driving force behind our walls. In reality, there are many “best” Pilates Studios in the Valley. We LOVE them! With so many great studios we set ourselves apart with our client relationships and treating our instructors with the respect they deserve as they grow their businesses. Taking some of the competitive nature the Pilates community breeds out of the equation helps to keep Remedy at the top of the list. Remedy is a community studio and that energy can be felt when you walk in the door.

AFM: Have you seen any benefits as a result of being a BOOV winner?
RP&B:
Remedy flashes our BOOV status as much as possible. The benefits we can calculate come from some online promotion, but the benefits we truly recognize come mostly from pride. Our clients sincerely feel proud of their studio and our instructors definitely take pride in being honored with the title.  It doesn’t hurt to be able to say we have made it on the list 2 years in a row. 🙂

AFM: How do you put your “best” foot forward every day?
RP&B: By never wavering in the way we push clients to create change. No matter what their goal, fitness level or motivation, we have a don’t give up on yourself policy. Creating a trust, that starts with the first session, that we will push them, even when they don’t want to push themselves.
