6 Must-Have Denim Styles

I am a huge fan of denim, as in I live in my jeans 6 to 7 days a week. I mean there is nothing that makes me feel more comfortable and confident than my favorite pair of skinnies. And as much as I love the whole bold, bright, colored jean phenomenon… I think I am more than ready and beyond excited about how denim is taking a new (but old) step into every direction: rompers, chambray shirts, bags, shoes, skirts etc.

Here are some must-try denim styles that will no doubt become a staple in your closet all year long!

Mulberry, $435

Mulberry has made the most adorable denim full skirt, which was inspired by retro prom dresses and the image of vintage summertime parties. The more casual light blue denim will go perfectly with a cotton polo or floral printed button up and your favorite topsiders. Add a cross body bag to complete the look.

Free People, $128

Pair your spring and summer dresses with this floral denim jacket from Free People for a cool evening out. Or add a bit of feminine flare to a solid tee and trousers. No matter what you choose to wear with this, one thing is for sure, people will want to know where you got that “amazing jacket!”

Gap, $89.95

I have been pining over this dark wash denim wrap jumpsuit from Gap for a few weeks now, and am convinced that it is the most darling and yet daring denim piece this season. It is as a simple as a dress all you really need is a great pair of sandals or wedges and a fun bag.

Madewell, $386

Madewell is known for, well, denim since 1937… So it is no surprise that they have come up with a truly amazing and unique chambray shirt. According to the website Madewell has turned expert fading and washing into an art form. Each and every piece—including this softly worn-in chambray shirt—is made in Japan by denim tailors using high-quality local denim and brilliant detailing, and we are one of the very few places in the world to stock it.

Tory Burch, $295

This is Brigitte denim dress is a spin-off of the Tory Burch Brigitte Blouse and is made of lightweight stonewashed denim. It is safari-inspired with menswear detailing and the sleeves can be worn long or rolled up camp-style. The silhouette just screams sexy, stylish, and sophisticated to me and I don’t think you need much more than a pair of wedges like the ones shown and confidence to wear it.

Net-A-Porter, $1,325

Of course we can’t forget the denim bag, Chloé’s Marcie denim and leather shoulder bag can go from day to evening and the leather detailing makes it okay to pair with other denim without feeling too matchy-matchy.
