That childhood dream of stepping inside Barbie’s Dreamhouse and experiencing her fantastic world of pink, pastels and endless opportunities is soon to come true. The “World of Barbie,” an immersive experience that takes guests through the fashion doll’s world, is coming to the Los Angeles area next month.
Doors to the iconic Dreamhouse, which is located at 395 Santa Monica Place, officially open on April 14, 2023. The experience will feature multiple interactive worlds, where guests can discover and explore Barbie’s lifestyle, careers and evolution over the last six decades.
The Dreamhouse is complete with pink double doors, fashionably decorated living areas, a kitchen with life-sized plastic food, a patio with lounge chairs where Barbie would soak up the Malibu sun, a fountain and a slide to splash into the ball pit pool.
After walking through Barbie’s pink, pampered home, you’ll also be able to chill out in her pink full-sized Camper Van, as well as step into her world as an astronaut with the Interstellar Airway Shuttle, record a masterpiece in the Barbie Music Studio, watch fun content at Barbie Theater and more.
There is also the opportunity to visit a museum about the history of Barbie, revisit dolls and accessories from over the years and walk into life-sized doll boxes with different themes that offer perfect photo opps.
Tickets to the “World of Barbie” start at $34 for adults and $26 for children. Guests can also choose to add on the Build It Barbie experience at an extra cost, which includes the opportunity to design and customize a Barbie wardrobe at the Barbie Gift Shop.
