Biltmore Fashion Park Celebrates Big Birthday with High-Concept Floral Fashion Art in ‘The Secret Garden’ to Benefit Local Causes

Biltmore Fashion Park, Phoenix’s retail gem, celebrates its 50th birthday on Saturday, Nov. 2, transforming the Center Lawn into “The Secret Garden” with incredible fashions made of flowers, organic materials and food to name a few, to benefit five local non-profit organizations.

The center opened in 1963 and was home to Saks Fifth Avenue and ten specialty stores. Today, the property is anchored by Saks Fifth Avenue and Macy’s and offers over 60 retail shops and 11 restaurants. Over the years, this classic mid-century property has consistently fined tuned both its look and its merchandise mix to remain a favorite retail destination in a Phoenix neighborhood that’s always in fashion. Most recently, Biltmore Fashion Park, which is owned by Macerich (NYCE:MAC) welcomed UNION, a diverse gathering of local retailers and food purveyors all under one, extremely stylish roof.

“For 50 years Biltmore Fashion Park has set itself apart from every other retail destination in Arizona,” said Karen Litton, Senior Property Manager for Biltmore Fashion Park. “The lush outdoor setting, fantastic retail offerings and dining excitement make this a one-of-a-kind property – and one that holds its place in the hearts and minds of so many Phoenix shoppers.”

Celebrating “The Secret Garden”

It makes sense for this iconic shopping destination to find a singular way to celebrate this major milestone. On Saturday, November 2, from 6-9 pm, the Center Lawn at Biltmore Fashion Park will transform into “The Secret Garden,” filled with floral works of fashion art created by local florists, designers, artists and Biltmore Fashion Park retailers. In total, more than forty creations will be displayed throughout the shopping center and each will recreate fashions from the sixties to today with the unveiling at the event and will remain on display through Nov. 17 throughout Biltmore Fashion Park.

In “The Secret Garden” guests will enjoy cocktails and dine on light bites and desserts from: The Capital Grille, California Pizza Kitchen, Christopher’s Restaurant and Crush Lounge, Central Bistro, Gadzooks, Seasons 52, Lon’s at the Hermosa Inn, Nothing Bundt Cakes, The Ritz Carlton Phoenix, Ticoz, Tommy Bahama Restaurant and Bar, Stingray Sushi, Whole Foods and many more. Live music will create the perfect mood to toast 50 years.

Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased at www.shopbiltmore.com . All proceeds will benefit five local organizations, and guests can decide which of these nonprofits their dollars support, including American Cancer Society; PANDA: People Acting Now Discover Answers; Phoenix Children’s Hospital; Fresh Start Women’s Foundation; and Phoenix Metropolitan Men’s Chorus.
