Warm Fall Scents

I know that fall is all about the latest and best fashion trends of the year, but there is something that gets me almost more excited than cardigans and scarves—fall scents. For me, fall marks the start of wearing my favorite fragrances made with vanilla, magnolia, amber, ginger…

Of course my obsession with fall scents doesn’t just stop at perfume, I buy autumn scented lotions, body wash, hand soap and of course holiday candles. With the season finally at hand I wanted to share with you some of my favorite scents for fall and winter.

Philosophy’s Caramel Apple shampoo, shower gel & bubble bath is the perfect 3 in 1 for a crisp fall evening…draw a warm bath, light a candle, play your favorite Frank Sinatra songs, and enjoy the scent of a delicious red apple coated with creamy caramel.

When I first discovered Intelligent Nutrients I was slightly skeptical as to how spraying this scent, which is actually aromatherapy, could really make a difference in my mood and energy. However, once the lovely cosmetic consultant spritzed me with this I fell in love. I could probably and literally go through one of these bottles in a day, but that would get pricey at $50 for .94 fl. OZ, although completely worth it. My favorite scent for the fall is ‘Make Love’ a warm, sweet, sensuous blend filled with intoxicating nutmeg, clove, vanilla, and blueberry.

Jo Malone’s Vanilla and Anise Body Crème captures the scent of the rare vanilla orchid. Providing a warm and earthy aroma. If you are a fan of rich and luxurious body butters and crèmes like I am, you won’t want to leave the house without putting this on…you can even skip spraying on perfume afterward for a subtle fragrance.

Believe it or not I started wearing Dior’s Hypnotic Poison when I was a teenager, quite a grown-up scent for a 16 year-old, but it only proves my love for warmer fragrances. To this day I can close my eyes and smell the combination of jasmine, jacaranda, vanilla and musk.

I suppose when it comes to lip color, it is more of taste situation than a smell, but for our sake we will put them in the same category. These Urban Decay Lip Love glosses provide a subtle tint while boosting collagen and replenishing moisture with natural oils. The honey flavor will make you want to curl up with a blanket, a cup of hot tea, and a good book on the perfect fall day.
