Dre’s Hair Salon Grand Opening Party

Eco-friendly is still totally the buzz word du jour. And I’m so glad that all things “green” and eco-friendly are so much more hip and trendy than they used to be. Gone are the days when eco-friendly conjured up images of hemp bracelets and hippie things. And, let’s face it, it is nice to know you can be environmentally friendly without sacrificing style or service.

What’s this all about? The newest eco-friendly salon to hit Scottsdale, Dre’s Hair Salon. This totally cute space will erase any negative notions you may have had about green salons. Tomorrow night, Dre’s Hair Salon in Scottsdale will be having a grand opening soiree. And it’s sure to be quite the party.

The soiree starts at 7:30 and guests can get a glimpse of the salon, enjoy hors d’oeuvres courtesy of Barcelona, a gourmet coffee bar, a Three Olives martini bar, Sutra Sushi and entertainment by a DJ. Sound like your typical grand opening party? Well, you’ll also be mingling with race car drivers, Playboy Playmates and other VIP’s as part of the festivities. It’s hardly your typical salon opening affair.

If you’re in the mood to keep celebrating, all guests are invited to continue the after-party at Barcelona. Everyone who attends will receive a complimentary Champagne toast too. Yum!

As I mentioned above, Dre’s Hair Salon is an earth-friendly “green” salon. The floors are made entirely of bamboo, all the furniture in the salon is made of recylced rubber wood and recycled resins.  Dre’s is completely dedicated to maintaining environmentally friendly practices with its use of self-sustaining materials and also uses energy-efficient appliances.

Dre’s hair salon is the vision of Master Stylist Andre Aronica. He brings to the salon more than 20 years in the industry and a portfolio that includes celebrity clientele too.

The 4,800 -sq.-ft. custom-built salon is contemporary in decor and offers hair, nail and skin services too. The salon has a variety of facial and waxing treatments available, including a Pumpkin enzyme and 30% glycolic peel facial that definitely sounds interesting.

Between Dre’s Hair Salon’s grand opening party and the Hotel Valley Ho Fashion Show on Water tonight, there’s definitely plenty to keep busy with this weekend. It might be time to go shopping and plan some outfits for the weekend!

I love the modern look of this salon. I always judge a salon by its interiors!

I’ve been meaning to switch over to an eco-friendly hair salon, the chemicals in hair color are just not good for you. Maybe I’ll check this one out!

This will be a new trend among salons.

    He sounds expensive.

Andre, the owner, is a genius! I had fried, overprocessed blonde hair and my hair is now the envy of my friends! He has a unique method of highlighting and lowlighting the exact same pieces of hair each time, so you are left with these amazing ribbons of color throughout instead of patchy dark and light pieces on the same strands. The way he shaped my hair by trimming while dry, my hair has never looked better! Amazing! I fly 3 hours to see Andre at this salon! I won’t go anywhere else!

I have to say that you do not want to choose a salon because it looks cool. Nor do you choose to have the owner cut your hair because he is the owner. He was a nice guy, but I had received the worst haircut ever. I do not know what to do, either let it grow back, but I don’t know if that is even an option at this point, b/c it is that bad. I am considering cutting all of my hair (short) to start over basically. I will not be returning to Dre’s Hair Salon anytime soon. I am too embarrassed to ask for my money back, but anyone in their right mind agrees that it is bad. It is my own fault that I chose this salon based off of the appearance and secondly, choosing the owner to do it. Lesson learned the hard way! It was a nice salon though.

My hair journey started 3 years ago when I first met Andre. My hair was an all-over bleach white color and it was fried. He took me from an over-processed mess to amazingly soft and healthy hair with phenomenal color. With the way Andre applies color (very meticulously – doesn’t just weave random pieces) is key. I have gorgeous, natural looking, pure blonde highlights complimented by my natural color as my lowlight. The dimension is amazing! Combine that with a haircut that styles itself and you have one incredibly happy client – never will I go anywhere else!
