Fashion Week Recap- Oscar de la Renta and Marc by Marc Jacobs

Tomorrow is the last day of our beloved New York Fashion Week, but not to worry, another fabulous week of collections will be starting in London (and then Milan… and then Paris). Here is a recap of two of our favorite shows from this week.

We won’t go on and on about how much we love Oscar de la Renta. Instead, we’ll show you why you should love him too!

From suitable sensibility a la navy and houndstooth jackets, cardigans and pencil skirts to the most delicate white dresses no one can make you want to dress like a lady like ODLR.

Fans of the 50-year fashion veteran know what to expect from any given Oscar de la Renta collection, and yet the designer never fails to keep it fresh via color, prints (like that amazing lace and polka dot skirt suit), and just the right accessories… We are heading out to buy our layers of pearls right now.

Another fashion favorite is Marc by Marc Jacobs, and this season did not disappoint. Jacobs gave us a collection full of PJ worthy silks, sneakers, and dizzying prints reserved for the cool kids.

Shine and shimmer were also key elements in the collection. Glitter dresses fit for the popular girls and metallic skirts for the edgy ladies. All we know is that we want to be part of this crowd of fashionable kids!
