Verde at Cooley Station, the 23-acre mixed-use destination in Gilbert, is preparing to celebrate a major milestone. The development will mark the completion of construction with a ribbon cutting ceremony and two-day grand opening celebration taking place December 5-6. After several years of planning and buildout, Verde is ready to fully open its doors to the community.
The festivities begin Friday the 5th, with the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce joining project leadership for the official ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. Immediately following, guests can enjoy a lineup of family-friendly activities, including appearances from Disney Princesses, face painting, and a moonlit movie screening.
A live comedy show will add a celebratory energy to the evening, and a “Verde Crawl” will invite attendees to explore tenant offerings while competing in promotions for prizes totaling up to $4,000. In partnership with Artlink, the Verde Mural Project will also debut a virtual art tour.

Saturday’s schedule opens with yoga on the green, followed by appearances from the Phoenix Suns dancers and Go the Gorilla. Guests can take in live music, enjoy a magician, and participate in additional giveaways. All-day attractions will include a bounce house, playground, golf simulator, interactive vendors, basketball truck, and numerous photo opportunities. The celebration will culminate in an evening concert on the Earnhardt Hyundai San Tan Pavilion Stage, where The Chadwicks and Soulitify will perform from 6-9 p.m.
Originally envisioned as a central gathering place for East Valley residents, Verde at Cooley Station is now bringing that vision to life. The grand opening underscores the center’s significance within Gilbert’s evolving commercial landscape. With a diverse mix of restaurants, retail shops, professional offices, health and wellness facilities, and residential apartments, Verde is designed to feel like a walkable town square.
Its central community park serves as the heart of the property, encouraging visitors to stay, gather, and participate in ongoing programming. For more information, visit verdegilbert.com.
