Before your planner gets too booked this winter, be sure to pencil in a few tasty events that are about to take place at one of the Valley’s most luxe resorts, Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North. (If you’re a fan of wines, spirits and beer, you’ll want to pay particular attention.)
Taste Talavera Tonight, Jan. 14, Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North will debut its Taste Talavera series, which pairs the fare from the Four Season’s luxe signature restaurant (which boasts some of the most amazing views in the Valley, by the way) with delectable wines from near and far. Each Taste Talavera evening features a four-course tasting menu coupled with pairings from a guest purveyor, who will rove from table to table throughout the night. (Taste Talavera allows patrons who wish to dine on the à la carte Talavera menu to do so, even if their tablemates choose the Taste Talavera option.) The series, formerly known as Vine & Dine, has been updated to include spirit makers, beer purveyors and other specialty themes throughout the year. Prices will vary depending on the Taste Talavera event.
Winter 2011 Taste Talavera events:

Cheers! Ladies Beer Brunch On Sunday, Jan. 30, women who love beer as much as their hubbies can join Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North and AZ Girls Pint Out for a special brunch in Talavera. Cheers! Ladies Beer Brunch will spotlight unique food and beer pairings in an experience that beer-loving ladies are not to miss. The highly anticipated brunch will start with a reception, featuring light hors’doeuvres and tastings of several locally made beers. Following the reception, guests will be offered a three-course brunch, with each course paired with a different beer cocktail. A specialty beer expert will visit guests at their tables, taking time to explain the pairings and answer any questions. The menu for the morning event includes a smoked salmon starter, served with an IPA blini and quail egg and caviar, accompanied by a Hefeweizen beer cocktail. The entrée is a twist on steak and eggs, served with a chocolate-stout braised short rib hash, and paired with a rich ale and ginger cocktail. Butterscotch cheesecake, with a pretzel crust and candied cashews, is planned for dessert, joined by a chocolate Guiness cocktail. Cheers! Ladies Beer Brunch is $45 per person, and the event will run from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
