Must-have spring fragrances

New spring 2012 scents have hit shelves and are ready to be tried and tested. There’s surely a scent for any woman this season, from fruity florals to musky woods. Check out our list of spring 2012 fragrance favorites.

Bond No. 9 Central Park West

If you want to smell like spring, this is it. Bond No. 9 boasts top notes of narcissus, black pepper and ylang ylang. However the middle scent, gardenia, dominates. A gentle base of vetiver, musk, white oak and treemoss evens out the overriding gardenia. The perfume, named after the fabled thoroughfare that runs the entire two-and-a-half mile length of New York’s infamous Central Park. Other Bond eaux de parfums in the 7-piece collection include names like Bryant Park and Washington Square.

L’eau de Chloe

Decorated in an updated version of the signature shaped bottle of the house, L’eau de Chloe is the new light and refreshing version of its original Chloe Eau de Parfum circa 2008. Created by French perfumer extraordinaire Michel Almairac, the scent features notes of sparkling citrus, accords of rose petals and natural distilled rose water that lend a dewy, spring to summer character.

Prada Infusion d’Iris Eau de Parfum Absolue


 

Prada’s Infusion d’Iris Eau de Parfum Absolue is the house’s third and most pronounced version of the scent. Absolue got its name from the traditional method of iris fragrance extraction that takes about six months to complete. Notes of exotic Tunisian neroli and orange blossom blend with iris from Florence, mastic, benzoin from Laos, tonka bean from Venezuela, Madagascar vanilla and white musk.

Givenchy Le Bouquet Absolu

Le Bouquet Absolu invites fragrant journey thought a glamorous and enchanting floral garden to the wearer and those who grace her. Made from a refined floral and fruity combination with a softy musky trail, the perfume lends a sophisticate and romantic air. It opens with fresh and juicy aromas of bergamot, neroli and wild berries. The heart is delicate and soft with jasmine, vanilla orchid and rose, based on mysterious and sensual notes of musk, ambergris and juniper.

Giorgio Armani Prive Figuier Eden
 

This unisex fragrance is inspired by the scents of Mediterranean gardens, pristine nature, olive and fig trees which bear different historical symbolism. The composition opens with fresh notes of mandarin, bergamot and red pepper. Accords of tea, grass and green fig for the perfume’s heart, laid at the base of Moroccan iris and amber.
