Jessica Simpson, who is continuously criticized for her current weight and voluptuous figure, is reaching out to ladies with bodies like her and launching a new denim line for the curvy. The new line is created in partnership with Camuto Group and Jones Apparel Group Inc. and will launch this July. Go Jessica!
Jessica Simpson’s denim collection will feature jeanswear, woven, knit tops, jackets, and skirts, and will be sold in 700 stores for Fall 2010. Jeans will wholesale from $20 to $24 and tops will wholesale from $9 to $20.
“Because I live in denim, the fit was the most important. A girl’s booty needs to look good,” says Simpson, whose high-waisted jeans were mocked as “mom jeans” last summer.
The Jessica Simpson label also features popular handbags and shoes. I personally own a couple of her high heels, and obviously so do a lot of women as her brand has estimated to have earned $450 million.
“I was inspired to create a great denim line that complements the entire Jessica Simpson lifestyle brand — a jean that becomes a girl’s best friend, that everyday go-to pair,” the pop singer added.
Jessica Simpson is also shooting a VH1 reality show, The Price of Beauty, which is set to debut in March. The new show will show Simpson traveling around the world to research the concept of “beauty” where she will “meet women, study local fashions, dietary fads and beauty regimes.” Simpson hopes to “to explore the meaning of true beauty in different cultures.”

These rumors began circulating in the media, when Simpson tweeted that she is in the studio doing a song with Billy Corgan and upload a few photos of her in the recording studio with her boyfriend, according to Wikipedia.
