With Halloween right around the corner, it is time to stock up on the best sweets. Whether they’re for trick or treaters or for yourself, these are the most popular candies in Arizona, as ranked by The Candy Store.  

Arizona’s top candy choice is a classic, Hershey Kisses. Based on an analysis from The Candy Store, Arizona customers are expected to purchase a whopping 802,972 pounds of Hershey Kisses this year. Hershey’s makes 70 million Kisses each day, so there will be plenty of them to go around. Keep an eye out for the Halloween edition of Hershey Kisses featuring monster-themed foils and spooky sayings. 

Coming in hot for the second-place spot is Hot Tamales. These chewy cinnamon-flavored candies are perfect for the spicy people in your life. Arizonans are expected to purchase 793,426 pounds of Hot Tamales this Halloween. 

Another classic will slide its way into third place for most popular candies in Arizona this year. Customers in the Valley are estimated to purchase 732,572 pounds of Snickers. The chocolate-coated nougat covered with caramel and peanuts is guaranteed to satisfy. This Halloween, Snickers will be selling their Ghoulish Green fun-sized candies. These treats will have the same flavor as the original Snickers just with a colorful twist. 

If you and your family are looking for the perfect trick-or-treating destination stop by one of these popular neighborhoods for safe scares and bountiful baskets: 

  1. McCormick Ranch lies between South Indian Bend Road and the North Shea Boulevard corridor. This quiet neighborhood has strict speed limits, so you can be sure your little ones are trick-or-treating safely.
  2. Paradise Valley is a suburb of Phoenix known for its luxury golf courses, houses, resorts and shopping. Enjoy a longer walk through neighborhoods in this area, or trink or treat at several locations in the neighborhood.
  3. Power Ranch is located at Power and Queen Creek roads in Gilbert. Full of parks to stop and play at, this neighborhood is a great spot to take the family.
  4. Queen Creek has many Halloween offerings for family fun, including a pumpkin patch at Shnepf’s Farm and a town-wide trink or treat at the Town Center.
