Buy a Bird at the SHOPS and Feed Valley’s Hungry

It’s almost Thanksgiving. A time to feel thankful for what you have. With the shift of economy, many are simply thankful to have a Thanksgiving meal. Help feed a family in need by purchasing a decorative turkey at The SHOPS Gainey Village Nov. 1 through 25 because each $15 colorful bird you buy will provide enough food for 105 meals to feed the Valley’s hungry. Plus, with every doll and entree purchased at Camarones Restaurant & Grill (formerly Gardunos), your table will receive a free taquito appetizer! Gobble, gobble, gobble!

When you participate in this great cause, know that 100% of the proceeds will benefit St. Mary’s Food Bank to feed our community’s hungry. Back in 1999, St. Mary’s Food Bank, the first and largest food bank in the world which serves 13 of Arizona’s 15 counties, created the Buy A Bird program as a way to raise funds to provide Thanksgiving turkey and all the trimmings to families in need.

The SHOPS is providing a convenient point of sale for Sheriff Tex Turkington or Toni Can Can Birds during the month of November at Camarones during operating hours: Sunday through Thursday from 11 to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 to 10 p.m. The birds will also be available for purchase on Saturday Nov. 7, 14 and 21 from 12 to 4 p.m. in front of Pei Wei in the common area.

“We hope shoppers will gobble us up! “
