The Lodge in Scottsdale

Now that Valley dwellers won’t get goofy looks if they go outside in a cardigan or light scarf, cozy comfort foods are what we are craving. The Lodge in Old Town Scottsdale (from Aaron May, the dynamite chef who has also brought the Valley Vitamin T and Iruna) dishes up a deletable menu of burgers (including the much-publicized Sasquatch Burger which features grilled cheese sandwiches in lieu of a bun), salads, sandwiches, hearty sides and more.
Though any entree of The Lodge menu is sure to fill you up, there are too many tasty appetizers on the menu that we recommend ordering at least one. The Lodge mac and cheese and soft pretzels plate are customer faves, and the nachos are a must-order. Smothered in zesty cheese sauce and topped off with jalapenos, black beans, sour cream, guacamole and tomatoes, the nachos are chock-full of flavor and a bit more sophisticated than the regular ole bar variety.
A favorite from the lunch menu, the fish tacos are filled to the brim with cod and crisp veggies. Plus, the accompanying tartar sauce and salsa provide plenty of zang. And with three fully stuffed tacos, this a lot of lunch to go around. For a meatier lunch, the chicken avocado sandwich is a winner, with its delicious bun being especially notable.
On the side, diners can choose from a variety of fries, onion rings, tater tots, salads and cottage cheese. The sweet potato fries are a favorite as they consist of large string of sweet potato that have the perfect balance of crisp and softness. If you stop by The Lodge anytime soon, be sure to grab a table on the patio. Enjoy a great meal, great tunes and perhaps even a great game of bean-bag toss. http://www.scottsdalelodge.com/.
