Join Blanco Tacos + Tequila (pictured) Executive Chef Saul Valesquez and Casa Centinela’s brand ambassador and tequila expert Diana Jimenez for a festive tequila tasting dinner on April 28. The four-course feast takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. The price for this dinner is $55 per person plus tax and gratuity.  Reservations are required by calling 480.905.3278.

Southern Rail is readying to open its doors in uptown Phoenix this spring. The restaurant will begin to build its skilled team of enthusiastic service industry professionals during a job fair Monday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at sister restaurant Beckett’s Table. Positions include: sous chef, line cooks, prep cooks, pastry, dishwashers, managers, servers, bartenders, bar backs, expo, food runners, hosts and hostesses. The team is open to all levels of experience; please bring resume, proof of food handlers card, two forms of picture ID and references.

A grand opening event is scheduled for Saturday, May 3 for Scottsdale’s new fast-casual Pizza Me! The fun starts at 11 a.m., and Pizza Me! has an entire day of family friendly activities planned including a bounce house, balloon-twisting and music.  Additionally, 10 lucky guests will win a pizza a week for a year.

In honor of National Burger Month (May), Del Frisco’s Grille in Phoenix will be offering a bold new burger topped with exotic ingredients and a spicy Arizona kick. The new Phoenix Burger ($16) is topped with candied pepper wild boar bacon, fried pickled nopales (an edible cactus) and jalapeno-peach mayo made with our state’s own, Chato Loco jelly. The Phoenix Burger will be available at the Biltmore-area restaurant through the end of May.
