Now through Sunday, August 11, all three Valley Sandbar Mexican Grill (pictured) locations are celebrating Shark Week with Shark Tacos, specially priced Shark Beers and Shark Bite Shots. Plus, Shark Week programming will air on Sandbar’s flat-screen TV’s.
Sonoma County’s iconic Bennett Valley winery, Matanzas Creek, is coming to Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North this August for a “Lavender & Wine” weekend. Taking place Friday, Aug. 16, to Sunday, Aug. 18, guests who book the “Lavender & Wine” weekend package will be greeted with a welcome amenity of a half bottle of Matanzas Creek merlot and lavender-scented truffles; an invitation to attend the complimentary weekly summer manager’s reception, featuring wines from Matanzas Creek; a specialty dinner is included that evening in Talavera;  the chance to attend wine seminars; and more. Pricing for the “Lavender & Wine” weekend package begins at $229 a night.
Downside Risk (pictured on homepage), Village Tavern and Soi 4 Bangkok Eatery at the SHOPS at Gainey Village in Scottsdale have all launched new summer happy hours. Village Tavern has introduced three different happy hours, spanning seven days a week; Soi 4 features wallet-friendly “street snacks” and discounted beer, wine and cocktails; and Downside Risk summer happy hour menu selection are priced between $5 and $6 and include chicken satay, bbq beef sliders, beer brats, chicken wings, hummus and chips  and salsa.
