Foodie news roundup for the week of Nov. 11.

Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa’s Lunch & Learn culinary series returns with chef and author Aarón Sánchez. On Nov. 17, Sánchez will join Sanctuary’s own Beau MacMillan and 125 guests for an interactive culinary demo on the Wolf & Subzero Demo Stage. Guests will be treated to a three-course luncheon showcasing dishes and beverages inspired by Sánchez’ latest memoir, “Where I Came From: Life Lessons from a Latino Chef,” and will leave with a signed copy of the best-selling book. Lunch & Learn begins at 11 a.m. Tickets are $135, including tax and gratuity. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 855.318.9009.

Then, Chef Sánchez joins Chef Scott Conant on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Mora Italian restaurant in Phoenix for a four-course wine-paired meal, also in celebration of the new book. There will be two seatings – 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. for the dinner – and the evening will begin with a welcome cocktail and canapés. Tickets to the dinner are $159 per person and can be purchased via OpenTable.

Spirit House, SanTan Brewing Company’s cocktail lounge, will host a night of creative cocktails on Saturday, Nov. 16, from $55 per person. Crawl your way through Downtown Chandler’s finest cocktail bars. The night kicks off at Spirit House with three more bars to visit including The Local, Puro Cigar Bar and The Ostrich. At each stop, crawlers will enjoy passed bites and a choice of cocktails made with SanTan Spirits. Sprouts Farmers Market is offering shoppers with a Sprouts account who reserve centerpiece meats, holiday meals or catering trays by Nov. 22 in-store or online at sprouts.com/holiday 10 percent off their entire purchase at pickup. On Wednesday, Nov. 20, Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row is offering free dessert in honor of the hometown country star’s birthday. Guests can enjoy “Dessert On Dierks” with any purchase from open to close.

Dog Haus is bringing “The Absolute Würst” when it opens in Gilbert on Nov. 16. To celebrate Dog Haus Biergarten SanTan Village’s grand opening, franchisee owners Andi and Damon Ott, both of whom are Gilbert locals, will invite the community in for a free Haus Dog on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Every Wednesday and Thursday from now until Dec. 12 in the Chart House bar and lounge, guests can mix and match one food items and one beverage for $15 or two food items and one beverage for $20. Dishes include grilled avocado toast with blue crab, crispy rice and spicy tuna, beef tartare and roasted bone marrow. Signature libations include the Fiery Cucumber, a glass of Rodney Strong Charlotte’s Home Sauvignon Blanc, a glass of Oyster Bay Pinot Noir or a Chocolate & Bourbon (pictured).

The beloved brand See’s Candies is opening a new shop located at San Tan Village in Gilbert on Friday, Nov. 15. Stop by at 9:30 a.m. for a ribbon cutting, free candy box and tote giveaways and chocolate samples.
