White Castle is coming to the Valley! The beloved fast-food hamburger restaurant will open at “The Block” located on Route 101 in Scottsdale. The new Castle, which is targeted to open in 2019, will mark the family-owned company’s first restaurant in the state of Arizona and is expected to bring 50 to 75 new jobs to the area.
The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf has introduced an exclusive “Bright Future” Blend Coffee and apple-inspired tea to benefit local teacher projects and classrooms in need in partnership with DonorsChoose.org. Available from August 27 through Sept. 30, each sale in-store and online will benefit projects at schools around participating retail locations, including within the Valley.
Two Brothers Tap House & Brewery in Old Town Scottsdale is now offering a $10 lunch menu, available Monday through Friday until 3 p.m. The special lunch menu features a variety of mouthwatering artisan dishes consisting of locally sourced and organic food, including the portobello burger, fish tacos, pork carnitas tacos and much more.
Wednesday, Sept. 5, is National Cheese Pizza Day, and Fired Pie wants to help you celebrate by offering half off a cheese pizza with the purchase of any drink at all 20 locations. (This deal is valid for cheese pizzas only and not through third-party delivery services.) Also during the month of September, Fired Pie is participating in the No Kid Hungry Campaign. For every $1  you donate to No Kid Hungry while at any of Fired Pie’s 20 locations, you will receive a voucher for a free Pookie (a chocolate chip cookie or macadamia nut cookie dough topped with vanilla bean ice cream) for use on your next visit. You will have 30 days from the date of purchase to use the voucher, vouchers cannot be used on the purchase date.
For the sixth year, Tommy Bahama (pictured)is partnering with the No Kid Hungry campaign to fight childhood hunger in America.  Guests visiting any Tommy Bahama restaurant, full priced U.S. retail store or outlet location as well tommybahama.com  throughout the month of September will be given the opportunity to make a $5 donation to No Kid Hungry. Guests will receive a $20 promotional award card redeemable Oct. 1 through Oct. 31 at any Tommy Bahama restaurant, full-priced store, outlet location or tommybahama.com.
In celebration of National Cheese Pizza Day on Wednesday, Sept. 5, Half Moon Windy City Sports Grill in the Biltmore in Phoenix, will add its long-awaited, highly anticipated Chicago-style deep dish pizza to its menu offering guests half-priced cheese deep dish pizza all day long, from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. (Offer good for dine in only.)
To celebrate the grand opening of Giordano’s in Phoenix, on Wednesday, Sept. 5, the restaurant will hold a family-friendly celebration starting at 4 p.m. Part of that experience is the “cheese pull”–guests of all ages will have the opportunity to create their own cheese pull photo when they raise a slice of piping hot cheesy pizza far above the pie. Patrons who post their cheese pull photos from the event with the hashtag #Giordanos on social media will have a chance to win a $25 gift card in Giordano’s weekly #PhotoFriday contest. Additional highlights of the evening will include an array of samples that encourage guests to get to know Giordano’s complete menu beyond the pizza, a host of interactive family-friendly activities and photo opportunities, along with gift basket and gift card giveaways.
