National Watermelon Day is August 3 and, to celebrate, The Crepe Club is offering half off their fresh-squeezed watermelon juice. Normally $5 for a 16-ounce bottle, the same juice will cost only $2.50. The promotion lasts Monday through Sept. 4.
Now through September, enjoy The Henry’s new summer happy hour pricing on select beer, wine, cocktails and menu items from 3 to 6 p.m. daily. Plus, every Wednesday night, the restaurant will extend its happy hour until close for “Neighborhood Nights,” where guests are encouraged to gather to enjoy live music on the patio. Plus, locals can dine for a cause at The Henry on Monday, July 31, as the community gathers in support of Colleen’s Dream Foundation. From 5 to 10 p.m., 15 percent of all sales (excluding alcohol) will benefit the Arcadia-based nonprofit. In addition to enjoying a meal at The Henry, guests can stop by the organization’s information table to learn how to further support their mission as well as be entered to win a $100 Fox Restaurant Concepts gift card.
From now through August 31, Pomelo at The Orchard PHX is serving its Summer Sippin’ Special. All specialty cocktails (including top shelf spirits) are only $5, all day seven days a week.
San Diego-based Rubicon Deli (pictured) is expanding to Phoenix. Currently, one in Phoenix and one in Scottsdale are in the works but the company plans to open 15 stores total in Arizona in the future. The Scottsdale location is scheduled to open toward the end of this year, and the Phoenix location will come next, scheduled to open in spring of 2018. Both leases are 10-year deals, with options to extend another 10 years. Rubicon is known for its bread baked in-house, fresh ingredients and outstanding service.
Press Coffee opens its second Tempe location this week and will be giving free cups of drip coffee to guests for three days to celebrate. Press Coffee at the Nexa Apartments (1221 E. Apache Blvd) opens on Thursday, July 27, and will be offering guests a free cup of small drip or cold brew coffee on July 27, 28 and 29 to celebrate its opening.
Today, July 27, Dairy Queen will host the 12th Annual Miracle Treat Day. At least $1 from each Blizzard Treat purchase will benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ local hospital, Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
Half Moon Windy City Sports Grill in Phoenix will celebrate National Cheesecake Day beginning 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 30, by giving away slices of “Chicago’s Finest” cheesecake, imported from Windy City-based Eli’s Cheesecake. The first 100 guests to either log onto http://offrz.co/s/FLMOC/ or text “cheesecake” to 602.483.4215 will receive the special offer redeemable for their complimentary slice of The Big Eli, a cheesecake featuring a combination of the best-quality slow-cultured cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, Madagascar vanilla beans and whole eggs on an all-butter shortbread cookie crust.
Also in honor of National Cheesecake Day on Sunday, July 30, The Cheesecake Factory rings in the holiday with the new Celebration Cheesecake, with original cheesecake, vanilla cake, strawberry, chocolate and vanilla mousse and is topped with cream cheese frosting and brightly colored confetti. In addition to the new flavor. the restaurant will be celebrating National Cheesecake Day in a big way with a two-day extravaganza on July 30 and 31 by offering dine-in guests any slice of its more than 30 legendary flavors of cheesecake for half price.
On Friday, July 28, starting at 11 a.m., the first 500 guests to visit the brand-new Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers Crossroads (18529 N Scottsdale Rd.) will receive a complimentary All-American Burger.
