Swing by Shake Shack at Scottsdale Fashion Square tonight, May 25 (7 to 8 p.m.) for the last Shack Sounds show of the 2017 Spring Concert Series. This free local concert will feature local band Huckleberry. Plus, pair your burger and tunes with specially-priced draft pours of Huss Brewing Co.’s signature Scottsdale Blonde ($4 for 16-ounce pints/$5 for 24-ounce glasses), offered exclusively during the Shack Sounds concert.
The Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass has welcomed Chef Lee Hillson as Executive Sous Chef of the resort. Hillson has more than 32 years of experience in the food and beverage industry and most recently worked at The Phoenician and, prior to that, the Royal Palms. In his new role as Executive Sous Chef, Hillson will have the task of overseeing all meeting and banquet culinary functions at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass, including oversight of menus and preparation. Additionally, Hillson will work closely with resort Executive Chef Thomas Riordan assisting the culinary staff and operating functions at dining outlets across the property. Congrats, Chef Hillson!
Creamistry (pictured) will open its fourth Valley location this May at the Scottsdale Quarter on Friday, May 26. To celebrate, it have the following grand opening promotions, starting May 30: Tuesday through Thursday, May 30 to June 1: buy one ice cream, get one ice cream of equal or lesser value free; Friday, June 2: a percentage of the proceeds earned will be donated to MASK (Mother’s awareness on school-age kids); and Saturday, June 3: free small ice cream from noon to 2 p.m.
Grimaldi’s Pizzeria has introduced its seasonal menus, available now through July 31. These limited-time only dishes reflect the tastes of the season and features a barbecue chicken pizza, strawberry spinach salad, summertime sangria, seasonal lemonades, Frizzante Frescos, strawberry cheesecake and blueberry cobbler cheesecake.
The new summer menu is now available at Zookz Sandwiches. On the side, enjoy the garbanzo bean salad with feta, roasted red peppers, green onion in a lemon zest yogurt dressing or potato salad with black beans, green onion, corn and chipotle sauce. For dessert, Zookz now offers a Caribbean beet cake.
