On Dec. 7, celebrate Champagne Monday Night Chef’s Table at ZuZu at Hotel Valley Ho. ZuZu’s delicious, once-a-year Champagne dinner will be featuring Moët & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot at this event, part of the monthly Monday Night Chef’s Table series. Enjoy a bubbly reception followed by a four-course dinner paired with four Champagnes. Renowned Chef Charles Wiley and the special guest will be on hand to discuss the evening’s fare. The reception starts at 6 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 p.m. The event costs $90 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are required and can be made at 480.421.7997.
On Monday, Dec. 7, Corner Bakery Café will host its grand opening at 1949 East Camelback Rd. in the Camelback Colonnade. The first 100 guests through the doors at 7 a.m. will receive a commemorative Corner Bakery Cafe travel mug with free daily refills of hand-roasted coffee for one year.
Someburros has released its all new, DIY holiday must-have item:  the “Churro Casita.” For the first time, fans and families will be able to purchase pre-packaged kits complete with enough churros to build their own Churro Casita (instead of a traditional gingerbread house) and are challenged to build the winning design to score free burritos for an entire year by uploading their creations to the Someburros Facebook page using #ChurroCasita. Someburros will make a $1 donation to Toys for Tots for each Churro Casita set sold.
The Original Breakfast House is getting in the holiday spirit this December with their featured breakfast of the month: The Reindeer Sausage Scramble, with reindeer sausage, gouda and roasted red pepper scramble topped with scallions. This will be offered Dec. 1-31 and is priced at $12.95 and includes toast and house made jam or buttermilk pancakes.
The Boulders Resort & Spa will be hosting a Duckhorn Wine Dinner event on Saturday, Dec. 5 featuring a four-course menu (with a main course of osso bucco-style braised short rib) and reception, starting at 6:30 p.m. $99 per person, not including tax and gratuity. The Market Restaurant + Bar by Jennifer’s has partnered with Hip Veggies, a local food advocacy business to help feed those in need this holiday season by hosting The Giving Tree, A Fresh Food Drive. Monetary donations will be accepted now until New Year’s Eve and will be donated to a local CSA (community supported agriculture) program who will provide fresh, local produce to feed those in need. In addition, the Phoenix restaurant will donate 25 percent of the proceeds from the Chili n’ Waffles dish ($16), served every Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through the end of December to this worthy cause.
Zappone’s Italian Bistro in Gilbert is hosting a traditional Feast of the Seven Fishes this December. This celebration is typically reserved for Christmas Eve in many Italian households, featuring lobster risotto, seafood soup and much more. The dinner starts at 6 p.m. and is $60 (all inclusive). Tickets on sale on-line at www.zapponesbistro.com.
In time for the holidays, Bonefish Grill debuted the Winter White Cosmo (pictured), a classic winter favorite cocktail, mixed with St. Germain Elderflower liqueur, white cranberry juice and fresh lime.
