When it’s hot, healthful salads and cooling smoothies sound much more tempting than greasy, fried eats. To cater to those lighter cravings, Arizona is chock-full of incredible spas, many of which with their own cafes that dish up healthy yet satisfying fare. Here are a few of our faves.
Nourish Cafe at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess’ Willow Stream Spa not only dishes up delicious figure-friendly fare, but guests have the option of dining in the open-air atrium (complete with a lake). Menu options include the tasty quinoa crab cakes (we promise you won’t miss the tartar sauce) and the cooling carrot soup. To wash it all down, Nourish Cafe serves up an assortment of refreshing, summery iced teas.
Located at Camelback Inn in Scottsdale, Sprouts dishes up fresh, organic eats, including organic beer and cocktails. In addition to delicious salads and protein-packed dishes, the heart-healthy menu is rounded out with dessert (think chocolate fondue with berries and angel food cake).
The Spa Cafe at the Golden Door Spa at The Boulders Resort is known for its healthy, balanced meals that are tasty and satisfying. On the breakfast menu, spa goers can a figure-friendly eggs Benedict, fruity parfaits, granola French toast and more. For dessert, a warm apple-mango cobbler, a dark chocolate mousse martini and more.
Scottsdale’s Joya Terrace, at the amazing Montelucia Resort & Spa, is a favorite of spa-goers thanks to delectable eats like quail leg and watercress salad, grilled lobster flatbread and much more. The best part? Enjoying the eats around Joya Spa’s rooftop pool.
