Simply put, spring is made for sipping fruity cocktails. Tommy Bahama at Scottsdale’s Kierland Commons has unveiled a new spring cocktail menu and shared a few delish season-friendly picks.
Spring Fling
1.5 parts Uncle Val’s Botanical Gin
.25 parts Aperol
2 parts Fresh grapefruit juice
.5 part Fresh lime juice
.5 part simple syrup
Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass, add ice and shake with a Boston Shaker to blend. Pour into and a sugar rimmed double rock glass with ice and garnish with a rosemary sprig.
Raspberries & Rye
2 parts Old Overholdt Rye
1 part simply syrup
1.5 parts fresh orange juice
.25 parts fresh lime juice
6 fresh raspberries
2 dashes orange bitters
Muddle raspberries with bitters in a mixing glass, add remaining ingredients and ice. Shake with a Boston shaker to blend. Loosely strain into a Collins glass over ice and garnish with an orange peel.
Mango Habanero Margarita
1.75 parts Milagro Silver tequila
.75 parts Orange Curacao
1 part mango puree – Perfect Puree
1 part scratch sour mix
2 slices fresh habanero
4 drops Bitterman’s Hellfire Habanero Shrub (available at Tommy Bahama)
Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass, add ice and shake with a Boston shaker to blend. Pour into an ice filled double rocks, salt rimmed glass and top with 2 slices of habanero.
